It would make more sense to publish this feature before the affordable one but the fact is, it took me quite some time to think of the best items to include in this category because, I think, this is the category most people are interested in. So here we are, all items are under £50.
2. Viseart eyeshadow palettes, from Cult Beauty.
I like Viseart eye shadows, and there are quite a few to choose from which are under £50, the one shown is the latest release, Dark EDIT Eyeshadow Palette, £30.
3. BECCA Your Glow-To Glow Primer, Highlighter & Lip Kit, £30 from Space NK.
BECCA used to be one of my favourite brands, and while I don’t follow them that much after the company was sold to EL, I still like the good old gems from them. You get Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in Champagne Pop, Backlight Priming Filter (15ml) and Ultimate Lipstick Love in Orchid as a part of the kit. And gotta love the festive packaging.
Skin and Body Care
I used to do monthly favourites but since very often I would repeat a lot of the products, it made sense to do one for each season (here is Spring). While it is mostly about beauty, I do include a few lifestyle items, as well.
In the summer I have been loving my rose fragrances, as always. My biggest obsession was Goutal Eau de Parfum Rose Pompon (as seen on my Insta) from Harrods and Bergdorf. It has the notes of Bulgarian rose essence, taïf rose, peony, blackcurrent, rasberry, pink pepper, woody cedar, patchouli and white musk. And it is just my dream scent, I never want to be without it, ever.
I personally think that very few people can actually write about perfume beautifully, and I am certainly not one of them. So for now I will just insert the brand’s description of the two perfumes I’ve been loving lately. However, I will try my best in the future.
“As you stroll down Rue des Rosiers in Paris, you can feel the vibrant, sparkling atmosphere along the cobblestone street, punctuated with the laughter from café terraces and snippets of shopkeepers’ conversations. In the spring, the climbing rose bushes flower in clusters. The wind stirs their pompom blossoms and swirls their refreshing scent with the sweet, tangy smell of pastries.” See… What is not to love?
Le Labo Rose 31 whih was my Wedding perfume
“The disturbing ambiguity of the Centifolia rose, quickly picked up by a chorus of warm, spicy and woodsy notes such as cumin, olbanum, cedar and a touch of amber…In the background, the declared sensuality of Gaïac wood and cistus highlighted by a distinctly physical animal note, give this perfume a disconcerting sense of mystery”.
R+Co Dallas Thickening Shampoo (review here)
I raved about this shampoo only recently so feel free to read all about it by clicking the link above. Unfortunately (or luckily, I suppose), it has now been replaced by a biotin version which, hopefully, is only better.
Therapie products from Cult Beauty Sleep Drops and
This is easily one of the best shampoos I have ever used. And everything is simply amazing about it. Christophe Robin Delicate Volumizing Shampoo is just as good, as it gets, without being the most expensive shampoo out there.
Not gonna lie, I’ve wanted it mostly because it is a rose shampoo. Shocking, right? I also usually go for volumising ranges, so rose + volume was an easy choice.
As I am writing this review, I have the product left only for one wash which makes me devastated. The formula, as the name suggests, is delicate and gentle. The scent is incredible, it is not too strong, as well. It’s a
I am a huge fan of Kerastase, and here is my latest love from the brand – Kerastase Resistance Shampoo length Strengthening shampoo.
I did not have long hair in ages but now seeing that it’s getting longer it seemed like a great product to try. So I’ve bought it when it just launched and I have used the very last drop this week.
And there is nothing not to love about this shampoo. Cool blue bottle, nice scent, brilliant formula and effective results. It’s a win win situation with Kerastase.
The brand describes it as a
Last time I wrote about my favourites was in February so it is time a for an update.
I’ve collected some of the things I have been loving the most in the last several months, so since there are quite a few items I’ve divided this feature in two parts, and we’ll start with beauty.
I am a huge fan of the brand, and their products really work for me. While they are quite expensive, I think it is worth the investment, as you only have one face, and you can definitely see the difference with Omorovicza. I have been using both products since March and the serum is practically gone, while there is still at least half of the bottle of the cream. I have dry and sensitive skin, and I am in my early 30s, and I can tell that the skin is smooth and glowing (there is an instant effect straight after the application), it also helped battling the tight, grey and flaky post-winter skin. On top of it, I personally love the scent, sensation and the design. And, yes, when you are paying this much every detail matters. I am now eyeing one of their cleansers. By the way, I have also been loving this cream skincare wise a lot in the last several months.
Speaking of cleansers, I’ve almost used up Darphin Aromatic Cleansing Balm (from Look Fantastic, Nordstrom, House Of Fraser) which is a cult product in the industry already. And let me tell you – rightly so. First of all, as the name suggests, it smells absolutely incredible, there is something soothing and relaxing about using it at the end of the day, it is like a well deserved “me time”. I also love the cleansing properties and how soft it makes my skin feel. While I never remove my eye makeup with this type of cleansers, I find that it does the job of removing face makeup really well, and it is a great product for a facial massage. In fact, in April we had some quality time with my girlfriends and we were all doing a 20 minute facial massage with this gem, and I can testify that they all were hooked as well.
