January 2015 Beauty Favourites
I am actually surprised that I have so many favourites this month, as beauty wasn’t exactly my priority in January. But I truly loved all the products I am going to mention.
Makeup
Surprisingly, it was all about the brown tones for me this month. I always wear red or berry, but felt like a wanted a change and be rebellious with the nudes. This probably doesn’t even make sense to some of you, I know.
Rouge Bunny Rouge Sheer Lipstick- Succulence Of Dew in Perfume Of His Gaze – it is described as “sheer tanned nude-beige”, and I totally agree. Never thought that I’d be wearing something like this. But never say never. Plus, it’s only makeup, it is supposed to be fun.
I am sure that you are already bored to death with me talking about this Trish McEvoy’s bronzer, but this is literally the only product I have been using on my cheeks lately (this and NYX Taupe). And Hourglass No. 2 Foundation/Blush brush is my favourite tool for bronzer/blush/healthy glow & colour on my cheeks.
Speaking of Hourglass, their Visionaire Eye Shadows Duo in Gypsy was another favourite. Along with Inglot’s Eye Shadows AMC Shine 37 – I can never get enough of these two!
Finally, there is a mascara that I have been using so much that all the words on it on it completely rubbed off – Max Factor Mastepiece Transform High Impact Volumising Mascara. It gives amazing volume, ultra-black colour and instant wow-effect.

Best Beauty Products of 2014: Skincare
Here is finally a third part of my 2014 favourites: you can see part one here and part two here. This time it is all about skincare…
Cleansers
Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm (Review) This was definitely my favourite cleanser of the year, it smells divine, feels gentle on the skin and leaves it smooth and plumped. Having a massage with it is so relaxing and pampering, a great way to finish off a busy day and have some “me” time.
One-Step Facial Cleanser with Orange Extract (review)
When I am in a rush, and don’t have time for a “proper” cleanse, which is usually in the mornings, – this is the product I reach for. I find that it works great for my dry and sensitive skin, removes the makeup and does leave the skin feeling amazing, as if I did the whole cleanse-tone routine. Did I mention the lovely scent?
Clarins Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner (review)
Another Clarins product, a
Algenist Advanced Anti-Aging Repairing Oil Review. Rave
I want to tell you about one of the best products I have ever put on my face – Algenist Advanced Anti-Aging Repairing Oil. It is so good the words cannot describe.
I was recently on a holiday in Greece and, although I did not really “bake” my skin under the sun, it was still dehydrated and “wrinkly”, it almost seemed like I had fine lines on my forehead.
For some reason all my favourite oils/serums/masks just couldn’t cope… And then I’ve realized that I had this, which I’ve bought as a part of a set from Sephora, so decided to give it a go.
And, wow! I was blown away by the results!
It feels very light on the skin, absolutely non-greasy, and no strong scent, too. You can instantly see and feel the difference. The skin looks
Clarins Toners Guide for Dry and Sensitive Skin
I know that a lot of readers come to Makeup4all for all things Clarins, so here, as promised, is my guide to Clarins toners. I did a detailed review about each product, so this post will be a brief summery, you can read all the details by clicking the links.
Before we start, I’d like to mention that I have very dry and sensitive skin, and my age group is 26-30.

One-Step Facial Cleanser with Orange Extract (review)
Such an amazing orange scented product which gently cleanses the skin, leaves is super smooth, soft and glowing. A must have here. Will re-purchase in the future. Can I say once again that I love it?!
Clarins Water Comfort One-Step Cleanser with Peach Essential Water (review)
This is a nice product which
Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation Creme Review
You all know that I love my Clarins skincare, but since I’ve already tried most of their products for my skin type (some of them I have re-purchased more than once), I’ve decided to try some other brands, along with Clarins.
And the brands that I’ve decided to add to my routine are REN and Ole Henrikson. I already posted several features about REN, (speaking of REN, I am really intrigued by this new product) and it’s the first time I am writing about Ole Henriksen actually.
I’d like to share about the face cream that I’ve been loving a lot lately – Sheer Transformation Creme.
It is an oil-free moiusturizer that gently exfoliates the skin and fades dark posts, while nourishing the skin at the same time. Moreover, here are more claims from the brand:
- Actiwhite™ and licorice: Prevents and corrects discolouration and evens skin tone with an effective combination of pea extract and sugar.
- Vitamin C: Stimulates collagen production.
- Fruit and beta hydroxy acids: Retexturises and soothes lines.
- Sandalwood, geranium, licorice and chamomile: Soothes, replenishes, balances and purifies the skin.
- Vitamin E: Heals, restores and nourishes the skin.
But does that all work?
