While I am still in the process of writing about my 2018 beauty favourites (better late than never?), I thought I’d share about my recent discoveries for the very dry skin in the winter time. These both are literally life/skin saviours for me!
Long time readers know that I have extremely dry skin but somehow I’ve never shared about the actual name of my condition. I have a genetic skin disorder – ichthyosis. And often winter makes it unbearable.
But here are the products my dermatologist recommended that make a huge difference:
The Soap. She warned me that it has a slightly unpleasant scent to some but I did not have any issues, and it’s totally fine for me. I really love the
Regular readers may know my obsession with Neutrogena’s body lotion with Nordic Berry but this time I’ve decided to get a Deep Moisture one. And it is a favourite of a lot of people with very dry skin.
And, as someone with extremely dry skin, I can confirm that it is amazing! One of the best affordable body lotions you can get. It definitely moisturizes and nourishes the skin, without leaving a greasy residue. I find that the only body cream in the same price range I like as much, as this one is the red one (as I call it) by Garnier which I have used several bottles of.
Neutrogena lotion has
I’ve decided to try out some affordable skin and body care (to feature here, since a lot of people are always asking for the best money-saving products) so went out and bought quite a few Garnier products, since I really love a lot from them. In fact, my favourite cheap face and body creams are from the brand.
So today, I am finally going to tell you about my favourite not-expensive body scrub which I’ve picked up back in February.
And it is Garnier’s Oil Beauty Oil-Infused Nourishing Scrub.
It has nice exfoliating particles which are not too tiny (I hate that sand paper feeling), but don’t hurt the skin, on the other hand.
The scrub doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry, since it contains four oils!Argan, Macadamia, Almond & Rose. At the same time, because I have
I have already mentioned Rituals Shanti Chakra Caring Body Oil Spray in my November favourites, and today want to share about it in more details.
I wanted to get myself a new body oil for AW season, and this one caught my attention. I have actually never tried anything from Rituals, which is a beauty brand from the Netherlands, so was excited to give it a go.
The oil itself is non-greasy or sticky. I apply it on a slightly dampened skin after the shower or bath, and it takes several seconds to soak in (I have very dry skin), and leaves my skin nourished, smooth and soft. I really wish they had more body oils with different scents, as I would
I am a big fan of Aromatherapy Associates and I also have dry skin so their Enrich Body Serum seemed like a perfect product for me!
So what was my impression?
I have never tried serums for body so this was an exciting experience. This is a light textured product which is not sticky at all and which absorbs quickly and leaves the skin hydrated, smooth and silky. It also has a nice cooling effect. Enrich Body Serum was something extra I was using on my skin during the winter and it was a great change for my routine!
Of course being an Aromatherapy Associates’ product this serum
