Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel Review. Rave

I have promised this review a long time ago, so here it is finally. It is one of my favourite cleansers which is Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel (£19/$32.50 for 125 ml) which is a melt-in-gel. It is similar to my other favourites: Elemis Melting Cleansing Gel and Terre d’Oc Milky Make-up Remover Oil.

I originally wanted to pick up Clarins’ Extra-Comfort Cleansing Cream with Shea Butter but somehow bought this one, so will get the cleansing cream next time.

As all the cleansers of this type, I massage it for some time and then wash off with warm water. The gentle gel, which also smells amazing, turns into milk and removes all traces of grim and impurities without drying out my face.

My skin feels clean, soft and ready for toner and moisturizer.

I adore it for my dry skin,

Clarins Body Scrubs Review: Toning Body Polisher and Smoothing Body Scrub

I love a good body scrub and I  do love Clarins. Clarins make two body scrubs: Toning Body Polisher and Smoothing Body Scrub , and I actually have both.

They both are very different but both are brilliant. So which one is the best for you?

Toning Body Polisher, £30/$40 for 200 ml

This is my personal favoutite and there are a lot of reasons for that. First of all, I love the texture, it’s  a mix of  sugar, salt crystals and essential body oils.  I love how super smooth and silky my skin feels afterwards. I personally use it on the dry skin and the effect is fantastic. Plus you don’t need that much, which I was surprised about, as usually with a similar texture, you end up using lots of product.

One more thing that I absolutely have to mention is the scent! I love heavily scented body products so this one is a perfect one for me! It combines essential oils of Rosemary, Rosewood and Mint. And it is strong! But I personally find that it lifts my spirit and improves my mood. I can feel the aroma of the scrub even  in the other rooms and it stays in the bathroom for some time.

But if you want something more delicate and with

Clarins Skin Illusion Mineral & Plant Extracts Loose Powder Foundation Review and Swatches

As you may remember, there are a lot of new foundations out for Autumn. So here is, as promised, review of one of them – Clarins Skin Illusion Mineral & Plant Extracts Loose Powder Foundation.

I have the lightest shade, of course, which is 105 Ivory. I actually really like the design of this foundation.  I love how it looks on my vanity, it draws attention and it is cute. Isn’t it important, too? 😉

I don’t usually use mineral foundations as they may look powdery and a bit cakey on my dry skin. But since it’s summer my skin is normal now, so I’ve decided to give this one a try. I’ve had it for several weeks and am ready to tell you my opinion.

Here is how the powder  looks like.

First of all, I love the scent, it smells fresh and floral, as a lot of Clarins powders do, and I love it!  I was afraid that it may look too obvious on my skin, but it doesn’t.  You should prep your skin first and application is the key here (more on that read below). But it looks flawless and blends in beautifully. Skin Illusion doesn’t feel heavy on the skin, if fact, I can’t even feel it.

It is long-lasting and stays on really well. Unfortunately, I did not have a chance to test it out in the heat but it does stay  on all day long when it’s  +25C.

The coverage is medium to high, it is buildable, I had some skin problems this month and it was enough. I just used a little bit of concealer on top. Otherwise, this loose  powder foundation would be enough.

I have also used cream products on top (photo below) and they

Clarins Instant Definition Mascara Intense Plum Review and Swatches

So here is the next product, I have already reviewed the 3-Dot Eye Liner, from Clarins’ Autumn collection that I want to tell you about.

I have been wearing this mascara for around three weeks almost every week. And I am glad that I did not post my review earlier because  I have changed my opinion about it from liking to loving a lot.

Why?

To tell the truth, it’s because I was expecting a mascara that would really make my lashes look purple… And it did not. But first of all, it is called intense plum, not bright lilac, so it was not supposed to be a bright lilac, as I was picturing it (I actually used to have such mascara in the past, so maybe this why I had such expectations).

Although the colour hardly showed on my lashes, it just did not look as intense as black and it was hard to say that it was purple, I kept wearing it.   And I am happy that I did. You’ll find out why soon 😉

I love the brush a lot as it allows you to use it even on the shortest lashes which is great. And I also love the general effect of Instant Definition mascara: it is not very dramatic but not barely there ‘natural’ effect which I hate, it is just on-spot for an every day look. I don’t  get a false lash effect but enough length and volume for me to like it and keep in my makeup bag, which is saying a lot, as I have so many mascaras. It does not smudge or

Used Up Products: Elemis, Clarins, Vichy, Apivita. LUSH, Lancome and Philip Kingsley

I actually love  seeing what products other people finished and what products they re-purchased (even more). So I thought I’d show you some of the products that I have finished.

Although I love trying new products very much, some I re-purchase, as I find them to be amazing. Unfortunately, I have already thrown away most of the packages but here is what is left.

Two Shampoos

Vichy Dercos Shampooing Treatment Oil Control

I actually really liked this for summer as it cleaned my hair nicely without stripping it. I would re-purchase but I have already ordered a Cowshed shampoo which I’ve wanted to try for a long time already.

Philip Kingsley Body Building Shampoo

Unfortunately, this shampoo did not work for me because my hair got greasy after about 1.5 days which was not good at all.  I would try other shampoo from the range but would not get this one again. I am actually taking PK vitamins for hair for the second month already (the course is four months) and I think I can see some improvements already. But will update on that in September.

Two Elemis products

Elemis tranquil Touch Body Polish (review here)

I had to cut the packaging to get every single drop of this product. I have actually purchased the second tube already. Next time I plan to get their mint scrub as it’s the only scrub from the brand I haven’t tried yet. Their Exotic Lime and Ginger Salt Glow is brilliant, too.

Elemis  Treat Your Feet Foot Cream (review here)

This has to be the best foot cream I have ever tried! It is very effective and the scent is to die for. Whenever I use it and someone is around, I always get asked about it. And, yes, I have ordered one more tube last week. I highly
