Spring Makeup: Corals & Peaches
Spring is here, so is the sunshine! And with such weather girls usually want to add some fresh and bright colours to their face. And although I personally love cool tones more (on myself), corals and peaches are the in favour of most people.
In fact, even I am wearing some of those shades today. But nothing to neon and in-your-face, so it will suit most people.
To be precise: Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream in #5, a gorgeous peach with golden shimmer on my eyes! Yes, really, I think it looks stunning on the eyes but you could wear it on the cheek and lips, too. It’s such a universal product.
And Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector in 05 Candy Shimmer which gives just the right amount of colour and brings some “life” to the face.
I am using a mix of blushers today but you could go for Jouer Cosmetics Cheek & Lip Tint in Petal to keep up with the whole theme.
It is fun experimenting with
April 2013 Beauty Wish List: Makeup, Skincare and Hair Care
Believe it or not, but it actually took me hours and hours to complete this list, as I had to think carefully about what products I really want or what products I actually need.
This is not really a wish list, but more of a shopping list of the products that I plan to buy in the near future. Of course, I could add more, but I’ve decided to be very strict with myself so every item got on the list after a lot of consideration and is very covetable…
So here is the list!
Makeup
1. Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil in Soft Brunette, £26
I have almost finished my Benefit eye pencil and I am definitely getting an Hourglass one next.
2. Matte Eye Shadows Palette
I can’t decide if I should get the Too Faced Matte Eye Shadow Collection (£24.57 from Beauty Bay) or theBalm Meet Matte ($42 from the brand’s website, but they are in the process of creating a European shop, as well). I actually really love the eye shadow quality from both brands: Too Faced Natural Eye Palette Review and Swatches, theBalm Nude Tude Eye Shadows Palette Review and Swatches and the Balm Shady Lady Palette Vol.2 Review and Swatches so that’s a hard one. I only wish Too Faced palette weren’t so bulky. Maybe I should get both?!
3. Cream Blusher
That is probably the last thing that I need, considering how many I have but I’ve decided that I can get one, as a treat for myself. After a lot of consideration, I’ve chosen Stila’s Stila Convertible Colour (I actually can’t believe that I still haven’t tried it!) I think I’ll get Rose or Lillium (£15.12 from Beauty Bay)
Skincare
Now this is the category of the products that I need. There are a lot of skincare products that I want and the list is endless but these
What’s Inside My Makeup Bag? Five Products To Create The Look
So what’s inside my makeup bag? If I had a task to create the look with only five products, here is what I’d use. The products that I like are changing constantly so here are those that I am enjoying at the moment.
So the products are:
Daniel Sandler’s Invisible Radiance Foundation and Concealer (review)
Ok, yes, that is a bit cheating as it is one-in-two product… It’s a perfect foundation for my dry skin, it evens out the skin tone and gives the complexion a dewy glow, exactly what I am looking for!
Max Factor Miracle Touch Creamy Blush
I have been loving the shade 09 Soft Murano a lot lately, in fact, I have been using it almost every single day. It is a high quality product for an affordable price plus the colour is very flattering!
Ellis Faas Mascara
This has been my mascara of choice lately. It gives a nice length, separates the lashes, lasts for the long time, without fading, smudging or flaking. It even survives an
If You Could Use Only 3 Makeup Products
I want to know: If you could use only 3 makeup products for your look what would you choose?
- Concealer
- Dark cream shadows
- Cream blush
You can see:
Make Up For Ever 5 Camouflage Cream Palette – No. 1. I’ve bought this palette a long time ago and I think it’s great for covering almost everything but it’s quite heavy to use under the eyes.
Benefit’s creaseless cream shadows in Busy Signal. Absolutely
Illamasqua Cream Blusher in Rude. Review & Cheek Swatches
Today I would like to tell you about my favourite product by Illamasqua – their Cream Blusher in Rude. What is written about:
Cream Blusher, £16.00 ($23 in the US)
Tease, hypnotise, use to effect. Highlight your cheekbones, shape your face, build and blend with fingers or a brush to create the colour intensity you desire. Use over foundation for impact, or under for a captivating glow. However you apply it, be daring.
Now, in order to better check the results, be sure to take advantage of a trendy Hollywood vanity mirror – great light and detail.
This is how the blush looks like
So what do I like about it so much? Absolutely everything! All Illamasqua products have fabulous design. The colour (I have Rude) is very pigmented & you’ll need just a tiny amount of it, so this blush would last you forever. It’s very easy to blend this blush and it looks amazing on all skin types. I really like how it smells ;). But what is the most important – the blush stays on for a very long time! And I have what to compare with.
The conclusion? This is my favourite product by Illamasqua and I would highly recommend you to try it! Check out how it looks like on the cheeks
