Back in the days my hair care routine was washing my hair with a high street shampoo. That was it. Literally. I did not even own a hair brush. Yes, I am not exaggerating. But we are talking like 15 years ago. My brother was always very unimpressed, and was telling me to change things for years, and gradually I’ve started investing time, effort and money, ahem, in my routine. And it really pays off. I even took vitamins!I do get compliments for my hair these days but, most importantly, I am pleased with the way it looks myself.
As you would imagine, now my routine is quite extensive. And while there are still a few products that I want (like this Aquis (Amazon/ Amazon UK) hair turban which is supposed to be amazing!), I am pretty pleased with everything I am using, and should probably write about it at some point.
But today I want to tell you about two things that I’ve added to my routine recently. They are both very extra but I really like them.
I’ve been reading about how good vinegar is for your hair for ages but quite frankly I did not
I wanted to try Anastasia’s Hypercolor Hair Powder for some time now and finally picked one up last week. Although I was thinking about Royal, which is a bright electric blue, I’ve decided to get something less radical the vary last minute and opted for Red-licious.
It is, as the name suggests, bright show-stopping red. So this is how it looks like! Simple and nice design, I like it.
The colour pay off is
I don’t really style my hair… Some of you probably are thinking “WHAT?!” now, but it’s true. (Don’t worry, I am working on my hair routine now and when I figure out what’s best for me – will definitely share) . I don’t use a hair dryer unless I really need to, as well.
But several months ago I’ve decided to buy a curling wand (should really write about it) so I thought that it would make sense to get a heat protect spray, too.
When I’ve asked for your recommendations on Twitter, a lot of people turned out to be fans of GHD Style Heat Protect Spray, so I had to give it a go.
I have nothing to compare with one with but
I’ve been using Philip Kingsley’s PK 4 HAIR vitamins for three months and have been seeing great results (will do a review later), so have decided to try the brand’s cult product which is Elasticizer.
I’ve got the smallest tube ( £12.25 for 75 ml), to see how I like it before getting a full sized product.
I don’t have damaged or colour treated hair to begin with, but I do see great results anyway. Although, you should leave it for 10-20 minutes, I usually leave it on for a longer time while I am doing some kind of work around the house ( I use it in the evening). And then shampoo, as usual.
Usually (90%) I let my hair dry naturally and don’t style it in any way but, once again, I can see that my hair is soft, shiny and in a great condition, as if I have just visited the salon! It is definitely so much better than most hair products I’ve tried before. I actually don’t use conditioners as don’t see any results, but this is very different.
