Eyes Of The Day With Illamasqua Liquid Metal in Surge

I promised to show you how Illamasqua’s Liquid Metal in Surge looks like on the eyes so here is the photo. My aim was to show you the easiest way you could wear it, the one you can create even when you have minimum time in the morning. But with Illamasqua products you can create so many looks, you just have to use your imagination ūüôā

So here are the products that I used:

  • Korres Eyebrow pencil #2.
  • Light eye shadows under the brows and to all over the lid, I used MAC skintone 1 which is a LE.
  • Illamasqua Liquid Metal in Surge.
  • NARS shadows in Night Clubbing which is one of my favourite¬† eye shadow and you can see the swatch here.
  • Hypnose mascara by Lancome.
  • Le Crayon Khol by Lancome in Brun Noir which is my HG, review here. I used it on the eye waterline.

So what do you think? Would you try such look? I’ve already tried some very creative looks using Surge but wanted to share the easiest one with you. The one you can wear every day and spend minimum time creating it.

You can get Illamasqua from Selfridges.

Photos and Review of The Body Electrics Collection for Spring-Summer 2010 by Illamasqua

I already made a post about Illamasqua’s new collection Body Electrics and you can read everything about it here. Three weeks ago I got an e-mail from Illamasqua which said¬† that they sent me some items from this collection to try.¬† I already lost my hope to get it because of the volcanic ash situation but the package came this week!

Everything came in a gorgeous black package and this is how it looked like inside:

So here is what I got:

Rave: Satin Primer by Illamasqua. Review and Photos

I am sure that now you all know that I am a big fan of Illamasqua. But did you know that their Satin Primer(£19) and Under-Eye Concealer(£12.50) were nominated for  Miracle Make-Up Awards?

I have the Satin Primer and today I will review it. I also wanted to get the Under-Eye Concealer but my shade (UC135) is out of stock right now.   And  if a certain product is out of stock this can be for a long time.

But back to Satin Primer (£19)

This is what is written about it:

An artist always prepares their canvas. Use under foundation or on its own for a smooth, even base that is protected from the elements. Containing UVA and UVB filters, Illamasqua Satin Primer lifts and highlights the face, creating a stunning dewy effect to enhance the siren within.

And now my thoughts!

I have a very dry skin and almost every foundation looks horrible on me if I don’t use a moisturizer before. But even this doesn’t give me a guarantee that I will have a flawless makeup. Now everything is different with this Primer. I have it since December and I am very happy with it. Here are only some reasons why:

  • It has SPF 20 so¬† it protects your skin
  • The skin looks healthy and feels moisturized. It gives the most amazing dewy finish which looks super sexy!
  • It is easy to apply foundation and concealer.
  • I don’t have a feeling of

Liquid Metal in Phenomena by Illamasqua. Review and Swatches

As I promised here is the first review of Illamasqua products. This time it’s liquid metal in Phenomena from the latest collection called Dystopia.

What is written @ the official Illamasqua website about this product:

Prepare to dazzle with this gloriously rich and highly pigmented metallic cream. Use to adorn eyes, face and body, and apply with fingers or a brush. Release your inhibitions and illuminate your alter ego.

£16.00 , 1.5g (0.05 OZ)

Available in:

  1. Solstice, Molten gold
  2. Enrapture, Molten bronze
  3. Phenomena, Molten silver

So what do I think:

I was very excited to try this product but I was a bit afraid because of the cold silver colour. I have warm brown eyes and I usually wear warm colours. But I totally loved how Phenomena looked on eyes! I felt in love with this product from the first sight. The design is amazing and stylish the products is very pigmented and you need a small amount so it will last you for a long time.  Plus I really loved how it smells (and it is very important for me).

My recommendations:

You can put it on with brush or just fingers. I’ve tried both ways and it’s very easy to use it with your fingers, so don’t worry.

Be careful when you put it on¬† and don’t touch anything if you put it on with your fingers because you may end up with glitter all over your face and clothes.

You can use liquid metal on your eyes, lips or somewhere else. I’ve tried it on my lips (on the balm) and it looked great!

A base is essential when you wear liquid metal because it will crease without a base. You can also put it on¬† a shadow. I would not recommend to put it all over your lid because it doesn’t look very nice at the end of the day.

My conclusion:
