I see new releases literally every day, so I don’t get excited that often. But when I saw the photos of Givenchy’s Le Rouge lipstick I thought that is was a mind-blowing collection! I also knew that I had to get it!
I have bought it only last week, although it was released back in February, because the lovely Givenchy PR actually sent me some lipsticks and polishes to show you and I did not want to get the same shades, so had to wait. But the samples got lost, thanks to the glorious post workers, along with some of my other post…
I bought the lipstick for my Birthday anyway, as I wanted at least one shade for my personal use.
The thing is that there are different shades available in different countries and I had my fingers crossed that I would be able to buy 302 Hibiscus Exclusif which was the shade that attracted me. Luckily, I was able to find it.
So what is so special about Le Rouge?
First of all, this is the best lipstick design that was ever created, I don’t think I could love it more. It is leather with silver metal with engraved Givenchy logo on top and “Givenchy” written both on the bullet and the cap. There are also two studs that look really cool. The package feels heavy and luxurious!
The lipstick formula is
Here is a preview of some new offerings from high-end brands such as By Terry, Cle De Peau and Aerin.
By Terry just launched brand new lipsticks called Hyaluronic Sheer Rouge (€29) which should smooth, fill in wrinkles and fine lines and boost volume. Sounds fantastic actually!
There are ten shades to choose from: #1 – Nudissimo, #2 – Mango Tango, #3 – Baby Bloom, #4 – Princess in Rose, #5 – Dragon Pink, #6 – Party Girl, #7 – Bang Bang, #8 – Hot Spot, #9 – Dare to Bare and #10 Berry Boom.
As for Cle De Peau, their Spring 2013 makeup collection was inspired by Mediterranean and I love the beautiful blue tones and the gorgeous Amanda on the promo. It actually inspired me to wear navy blue on the eyes today.
The products from the collection are:
I love Omorovicza so was delighted when I was asked if I’d like to try their Complexion Perfector BB SPF 20.
This is the best ‘foundation’ I have ever put on my face. This could be the end of my review but let me explain why.
The brand describes their products as the “Swiss army knife of the beauty industry”, which is a ‘moisturiser, foundation, sunscreen, concealer and anti-aging cream all-in-one’.
This BB cream has a nice soft texture which easily glides on the skin and leaves it baby-soft.
The coverage is sheer-to-medium but it evens out the skin tone beautifully. I personally don’t use anything else with it, not even an under eye concealer, as I love the results. But you may need/want to use concealer or powder on top.
The skin looks plumped and smooth! It really has a
I haven’t been to LUSH in some time so I’ve decided to go and get something as a part of my Birthday treat. I’ve picked up one Christmas set with a big discount (obviously) and Rub Rub Rub.
I haven’t tried the Northern Lights soap yet but I’ve used other products several times already and want to share my opinion.
Rub Rub Rub
I personally really loved this scrub as it is such a multi-purpose product. You can use it as a scrub on a dry body, mixed with water as a scrubbing shower gel for a more gentle effect or as… shampoo!
Although it does say that you can use it on your hair I don’t think I would ever do it unless a recommendation from a friend. And, wow, I was actually really impressed with the results.
Actually when I’ve asked a lady at LUSH for her favourite product – she pointed at Rub Rub Rub. And it is lovely. Leaves the body soft and clean when used as a scrub and leaves the hair shiny and light when used as a shampoo.
The only minus is that it won’t last you for a very long time. I am through half of the bottle in less than a month. I will definitely re-purchase this product at some point.
Do you have a Lush scrub recommendations?
This is actually a seasonal shower gel but
