Yves Saint Laurent is celebrating the cult product Touche Eclat’s 20th year of success this year. And there is actually one more very exciting thing! Touche Eclat foundation which, according to WWD, YSL was working on for ten years. There should be 22 shades which will be available from June.
Here is a preview. Who else is excited?
I was browsing Stila makeup at Feel Unique the other day and found this video which shows the products in action really well.
Unfortunately, most of the products I wanted to get were out of stock including the Stila blush I wanted to get for my friend’s Birthday, as FU had 10 % off so I’ve got only the following things.
The other two videos I found at
It’s Sunday, so this means that it’s time for a beauty/makeup (and not only) inspiration of the week.
By the way, you can follow me on Pinterest as I try to post there several times per week. It is more personal and not only about makeup.
First of all, I am loving this timeless beauty look created by Wendy Rowe for Burberry for Harrods Of London which I’ve spotted on Twitter.
I have never tried Deborah Lippmann products but after the feature over at Karla Sugar and the video with Deborah, I am now in love with her! What a great personality and professional. This video is almost 30 minutes but I highly recommend watching it!
You probably know that I am a huge fan of Dior’s makeup for all the shows as it always looks stunning. Vogue UK have chosen their favourite Pat McGrath looks for Dior. And here is one that
It’s been forever since I’ve posted one of those ‘weekly inspiration’ posts.
I have so many beauty/makeup photos on my computer without any label which is very annoying as I forget where they are from eventually.
And the photo below is one of them. I assume it is from a Fashion Week(but which one and which show?). I am really loving the colour of the eye shadows, the gorgeous flawless skin and the highlighter above the upper lip. But It’d be better to wear less of it for the ‘real life’.
Alexander McQueen with Zuzanna Bijoch by David Sims. It’s not really about the makeup for me, it’s about the style in general…No comments here, it is brilliant in my opinion!
First of all, I have great news for everyone who wants to attend makeup courses in November and who can come (or live in) to Dublin once per week, every Tuesday, during six weeks.
This course is called Makeup for Dolls and it ‘aims to de-mystify makeup; to show you just how to use the products you’ve already got in your makeup bag.’
What is so special about these courses? While most makeup courses teach you how to apply makeup on a model’s face, these teach you ow to use makeup on yourself. Sounds amazing for those who are not inserted in becoming MUAs but want to know how to beautify themselves.
You will learn pretty much everything you can, starting from basic “natural makeup” look and reviewing of your own makeup stash on first class to glamour smokey eye for night-time wear (including glitter and strass) on the sixth class.
You can find out more here. The courses cost €450 but you can win a chance to attend them for free. The first class starts on the 15th November. So let me know in the comments why would you like to win.
I have already written that gorgeous Emily Blunt will be a new face of YSL Opium and I am very pleased to see the final results. I simply adore Emily and this advesrtising could not be any prettier. Almost want to go and buy the fragrance…
The other thing that caught my attention was this
Dior always has amazing makeup at their shows and I already wrote about Fall 2010. This time lets take a look at S/S 2010 at Paris Fashion Week. I absolutely love this look! Bright and vibrant creamy eye shadow with cat eye liner paired with matte lips. It was created by the genius Pat McGrath. Besides blue, lime and pink eye shadows there were other shades as well.
I can’t wait to try such look in summer myself but I will probably use a neutral lip shade!
Don’t be afraid to use bright shades, it’s only makeup after all, and you can always remove it! Besides if that is too bright for you – try more subtle shades!
