Kind Natured, an affordable natural brand (it is promised that the products are free of Sulphates, Parabens and Petrochemicals; and are 97% natural in general) brought out two new lines recently, and I was kindly sent some products to try out.
Two new ranges are:
- Shea & Macadamia – described as deeply nourishing and formulated for very dry skin.
- Coconut & Monoi – described as moisturising and formulated for normal and dry skin
Each line has three products so far: Foaming Sugar Scrub (£5.99), Body Lotion (£5.99) and a Hand Cream (£4.99).
So what are my thoughts?
First of all, I think it was a clever idea to bring out the scented products at this time of year when we all are a bit tired of the cold months and crave the sun. Both lines have that sweet exotic scent, and make me personally think of a summer holiday and cocktails on the beach, they are like a summer-in-a-bottle. Although the
I have started using eye creams on a regular basis pretty early, and I believe that a good eye cream can make a difference. And Elemental Herbology Eye Elixir is a good one. In fact, possibly the best eye cream I’ve used. I am actually a huge fan of the brand, in general.
Why do I like it so much?
The main reason is that it is rich and moisturising without feeling heavy or greasy. I have very dry skin, and light-weigh creams don’t do that much for me. Plus, not being 20 anymore, I want to take a good care of my under eye area and prevent the early signs of ageing.
And I find that
Oils are a necessity for me, beauty-wise, especially in AW period. My skin is very dry, and during the cold months it is flaky and sore. And I do love my daily hot shower which dries out the skin even more. But I just can’t help it. The relaxing and anti-stress effect [of a hot shower] is very important for me.
This is why I’ve decided to get some shower oils. I have started with Yves Rocher Oriental Shower Oil .
And it is really lovely indeed. It has a subtle oriental scent, as the name suggests. The way it looks and smells – it reminds me of honey. My favourite way of using it is to apply to the skin directly. It turns into milk when contacted with water, and leaves the skin smelling divine, and feeling softer and more moisturized than after a regular gel. I still
FOM London Jet Set Essential Beauty Kit comes beautifully packaged in a black box with a crimson ribbon. It shows how the brand pays attention to the details, and wants their customers to enjoy everything about their service, from the look to the performance of the products.
Besides the pleasing aesthetic side of the kit, you get a well-thought about packaging: mini glass bottles with the pumps! How convenient is that? You don’t need to worry about getting the product all over and creating a mess. Moreover, you don’t waste any product that way.
And what products are inside the set?
When I first heard about the Linden Leaves, a beautiful skincare range from New Zealand, I really liked pretty much everything about the brand.
I loved the clean and sophisticated packaging, the series that the products are divided into and the story behind the brand. Plus they also have two series for men – Pure Man and Rugby.
I also liked their website, it gave me this idea of a natural and soothing skincare line. There are actually a lot of products to choose from so it was very hard. But I’ve decided to try the scrub from the Herbalist line which is called Sugar Salt Exfoliating Body Rub and the Memories Body Oil from the Aromatherapy Synergy range.
Herbalist Sugar Salt Exfoliating Body Rub, €23.53 (200g / 7.05 oz)
It’s great to have a sugar salt scrub as most are just sugar or salt, so now you don’t have to choose. The first thing that I’ve noticed about this product – its unusual and rather strong scent. I can’t quite describe it but I’d say that Herbalist is a great name for this product.
The rub contains essential oil of basil (‘to stimulate circulation and invigorate’), clary sage (‘to ease muscular aches and relax and de-stress the mind‘), and evening primrose oil (‘to nourish and hydrate’). Other ingredients are: jojoba oil and sweet almond oil (‘to moisturise and soothe inflamed skin’).
This is a really lovely product, I find that it effectively but gently exfoliates my skin, leaving it smooth and ready for a moisturizer! It doesn’t hurt or damage the skin as it contains essential oils. As for the scent, I don’t think that I’ve had anything with a similar one, but, luckily, I like it. I find it calming and relaxing!
Memories Body Oil , € 31.93 (250 ml)
Now this is a very unique product. Although
