AW19 Foundations: Chanel, Charlotte Tilbury, Pat McGrath, Anastasia, Clarins and Kevyn Aucoin
Autumn is the time to be browsing foundations, as so many brands are bringing new ones out. So here are just a few that caught my attention. And it’s incredible how brands now do such a wide variety of shades, and some even demonstrate all shades applied.
Chanel Ultra Le Teint Velvet, £37. Comes in 15 shades.
“Longwearing foundation that naturally smoothes and evens out the complexion. Its blurring effect erases all imperfections and ensures makeup with a matte velvet finish.
Ultra-light, ultra-matte and ultra-natural, it instantly becomes one with the skin for a flawless complexion all day long”.
Chanel is available from Nordstorm, Saks, Neiman Marcus, Selfridges and Harrods.
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation, £34, There are 44 shades to choose from, and there is a before and after for each shade.

SS19 Foundations: Chanel, Hourglass, Dior, Guerlain, Estee Lauder
There are always new foundations out for Spring, and SS19 is not an exception, there are at least 10 new launches I can think of, on top of my head. So I’ve decided to choose a few different ones just to give you an idea of what is coming out. All foundations are available in many different colours, except Chanel.
I haven’t tried any of these so I am providing the official descriptions.
Guerlain L’ESSENTIEL NATURAL GLOW FOUNDATION 16H WEAR
“Naturalness & make-up performance come together for the first time at Guerlain. A foundation made with 97% naturally-derived ingredients with a natural glow finish that lasts for 16 hours. The complexion is perfect, luminous and fresh. The comfortable texture becomes one with the skin, making it ideal for buildable coverage (light to medium)”
Not sure what I think of the quirky bottle but it definitely stands out, and the foundation sounds like something I personally would love.
Guelian is available from Escentual, Harrods, Saks, Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, Selfridges and Nordstrom.
HOURGLASS Vanish Seamless Finish Liquid Foundation (£56/$51)
“Weightless, instant full coverage is delivered through the formula’s innovative coated pigments – allowing for seamless application and long-wearing,second-skin adherence. A natural finish is delivered through light-refracting microspheres, blurring and

Chanel Libre Makeup Collection for Christmas 2016
I am loving the official description of the new Libre Chanel Makeup collection:
“Sheer meets intense. Matte and glossy collide. The artificial clashes with the real in a bold new makeup collection inspired by the material urban world. Striking contrasts of colours, textures, intensities and light capture a contemporary edge and thrilling moment in time.”
This collection with all the pink and silver details will definitely stand out among all the gold and red glittery offerings which are usually released for Christmas. There is also a new foundation! So far you can only buy the products from Chanel’s website but later on from Nordstorm, Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Selfridges, Harrods.
Let’s take a look at the products:

SS16 Foundations: Chanel, Dior and Laura Mercier
Besides the lipsticks, the other makeup product almost every brand is bringing out for SS16 is foundation. And while cushions and foundations with the dropper (BECCA, Stila, Kiko Armani, Rouge Bunny Rouge etc) are having a real moment this season, “classic” foundations are still going strong.
And here are three that caught my attention with the official description:
Chanel LES BEIGESHealthy Glow Foundation (£36 from Selfridges)
“An invisible foundation that creates a natural healthy glow by giving skin the radiance of a day spent outdoors, while protecting it from harsh environmental conditions. The perfection of a natural glow. With a range of subtle, easy-to-wear beiges, CHANEL’s Healthy Glow Foundation frees women from their fears of using foundation and gives every skin tone a lasting healthy glow.
