New Fragrances: Illamasqua And Maison Martin Margiela

Today I want to tell you about two fragrance launches that really caught my attention.

Freak by Illamasqua is one of my favourite fragrances, so I am very excited about the newest  variation – Freak Scarab.


  • Top Notes: Blood Orange, Neroli Absolute and Ylang Ylang awaken and entice the senses.
  •  Heart Notes: Davana Oil entwines with Egyptian Jasmine, Honeysuckle and Queen of the Night to form a sensual heart.
  • Base Notes: The warmth of Stewed Plum creates a distant depth, leading to the rich ancient accord of Mousse de Sax – Geranium, Anise, Moss and Leather.

The price is £85 for 75 ml, and I can’t wait to try it.

This new (and first) Illamasqua unisex fragrance looks really interesting, both the promo photos and the ingredients.

Freak is a concoction of dangerously exotic unconventional flowers which Illamasqua has unashamedly blended together to celebrate the night…

Top Notes

Black Davana, Opium Flower and Belladonna bewitch senses into uncontrollable lust and passion.

 Heart Notes

Poison Hemlock, Datura and Queen of the Night blossom, caress and kiss.

Beauty Inspiration: Makeup is A True Art by Alex Box

As someone who studied arts and culture and someone who loves makeup, I was absolutely fascinated by this new work of Alex Box featured in Stylist this week.

And this project is not called “Makeup is A True Art by Alex Box”, it is just how I’ve named it ; )

Her interpretation of her favourite movements is art shown on the model’s face with make-up was simply breathtaking. Alex showed her interpretation of Cubism, Dadaism(I had no doubts about that), Postmodernism, Romanticism and Baroque.
