Summer makeup collections are about to pop up in the shops, and quite a few bronzers are already available online, so here is a preview.
YSL Solar Pop Bronzing Stones Collector Palette, $55 from Barney’s
YSL’s bronzer is inspired by the vibrant colors and exotic adventure of a jungle safari, it is cloaked with a snake skin effect, and has a fire-colored logo. The bronzer itself is matte.

I love experimenting with my makeup but sometimes I get stuck in a certain routine, just like now. I have been wearing the same kind of look for the last several weeks almost every day.
So what is it all about?
For the base I’ve been usually using Clarins’ BB Cream or Rouge Bunny Rouge Tinted Moisturizer to even out the skin tone. I love that both products feel light on the skin, which is exactly what you want in summer.
I have been skipping blusher lately. Shocker, right? And instead I have been using bronzers, just any that is around, really. Below you can see pictured Clarins, Benefit and Trish McEvoy just as an example.
Finally my skin tone is a perfect match for Jouer highlighter, this warm tinted product gives a beautiful golden glow, just perfect paired with some bronzer. I definitely recommend it for a sun kissed look. As for High Beam, it is a good ol’ favourite of mine, it never fails.

Since we were talking about Clarins earlier today, I thought I would show you the bronzers from their summer 2012 makeup collection.
There are three variations: light, medium and dark. And here they are in all their glory.
All three bronzers are divided into two parts: a lighter matte shade and a darker shade with shimmer. I think it’s a great idea as you can use them individually or mix together.
Bronzing Duo Powders contain white tea extract and 100% mineral sunscreen which ‘offer protection against the three main causes of ageing-pollution, free radicals and UV rays’. They also smell absolutely amazing.
I have been using these bronzers to add some warmth to my face and to do some contouring. I also love using them as eye shadows, especially in the crease.
