A lot of people were asking me about the new Hourglass products for summer 2011, so here they are!
First of all, it’s the Script Precision Liquid Liner ($32) which I already mentioned here.
Here is what is written about it:
Innovative new marker boasting one of the smallest felt tips on the market. Micro-fine, razor-point applicator measures just 0.5mm and elevates liner application to the realm of fine art. Allows for unprecedented precision, exceptional control and a multiplicity of lines. Longwearing and water-resistant formula quickly dries to prevent smearing and transfer. Color is a lustrous, longwearing black that glides on effortlessly. Defines and contours without drag, pull, or skip. Free of gluten, sulfates and phthalates.
Script Precision Liquid Liner is a revolutionary new marker boasting one of the smallest felt tips on the market. Shaped more like a writing implement than a traditional liner, Script’s micro-fine, razor-point applicator measures just 0.5mm and elevates liner application to the realm of fine art. The abbreviated tip allows for unprecedented precision, exceptional control and a multiplicity of lines.
Here are also some useful application tips by Hourglass Artistic Director Gina Brooke:
“Prepare your lids with concealer to cover any discoloration, and apply your eye shadow as usual. If you’re feeling unsure about applying liquid liner, try sketching a guide line with an eye pencil or matt shadow first. Make the guide as close to the lash line as possible. Tilt your head backwards and gently pull the eyelid taut with your free hand. With liner in hand, start in the middle of the eye and work outward along the top lash line using a series of short, overlapping strokes, gradually applying pressure for a thicker line as you work your way to the outer corner.
Lastly, line the inner upper corner of the eye, and the bottom if you seek a more intense look. If you make a mistake, dab a Q-tip into some eye makeup remover and gently erase the spots.
Aside from using it as a liner, Script can also be used to create the illusion of larger eyes by filling in between the bottom lashes. More adventurous wearers can extend the line out for a retro cat-eye. I even use it to draw lashes at the bottom of the lower lash line and beauty marks.”
Script is already available at Hourglass website. The shade is called Jett.
There will be also 2 new shades of the Hourglass Prodigy lip gloss ($26)
Here is what is written about the glosses:
- “Tube” features a metalized outer shell to conveniently fit into the pocket or clutch
- Silky and non-tacky texture provides high shine and comfort
- Enhanced with Vitamin E to hydrate and protect the lips
- May be worn over lipstick and lip liner or worn on its own
- Offers superior water-resistant color
- Paraben-, sulfate-, phthalate, and fragrance-free
The new shades are: Heroine(bubblegum pink) and Ingénue (nude)
There is one more thing that I’ve spotted at Sephora, and although it’s not really a part of the collection, thought I’d let you know. Now the cult Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer SPF 15 is available in a small(0.33 oz) size for $17 only. So if you can’t afford paying $52 for it, it’s a great way to try it.
Awww, I guess the Vol. 6 Neo-Classic palette will be released for the Fall collection?! 🙁 I was looking forward to purchasing it before I leave for my trip next month. Oh well, I will definitely be buying the Script Precision Liner 🙂
PS Thank you for letting me know that Zuneta has great customer service, I was a bit hesitant to purchase online from overseas since I have never done so, but I trust your recommendation. Can’t wait to get my hands on some RBR, lol
Hi Naomi, (Nice to see you 😉 )
I believe it is. I hope you will like the liner.
As for Zuneta, I was really happy with their service and I know several girls from the US who ordered RBR and were happy about everything, so good luck!
