Jo Malone Blackberry & Bay Cologne

The newest Jo Malone cologne Blackberry and Bay was inspired by the childhood memories of blackberry picking, stained lips, sticky palms…

It is described as a burst of deep, tart blackberry juice and sparkling grapefruit, blending with the freshness of just-gathered bay, softened by  with delicate flowers , resting on  a brambly base of vetiver and cedarwood.

I have really enjoyed using this cologne in July and August as it is fresh, sparkling and not very complicated which makes it a perfect choice for warmer weather.  It is quite simple and not overwhelming which is exactly the thing that makes me love Jo Malone fragrances.

I find it appropriate for day and night, both for office or a holiday.  I imagine that a lot of people would love Blackberry and Bay as is it indeed a pleasant fragrance to wear.

Unfortunately, I am very good as describing scents, so instead of saying that it is lovely, I’d suggest you trying the cologne yourself. I am pretty sure you won’t be disappointed.

I only wish it was a bit more long lasting, like my favourite Vanilla and Anise for example. But I don’t mind refreshing it during the day.

Jo Malone recommends mixing it with:

  • Lime Basil & Mandarin  for added vibrancy with a peppery, citrus zest.
  • Nectarine Blossom & Honey tempers the sweetness with  a green, herbaceous edge.

The price for 30 ml is £38/€46/$60.

Other products: Cologne 100ml (£76/€92), Body Cream 175 ml (£48/€61), Body and Hand Wash 250 ml (£30/€40), Home Candle 200g (£38/€50).

My cologne was provided by Jo Malone.

You can buy Jo Malone from Selfridges and  Neiman Marcus.
