I will always be excited about makeup, I have been for as long as I remember myself and I always will be. But lately I have been more reasonable with my makeup purchases. The thing is that, if I am honest, I don’t need 20th highlighter even if it is super limited edition and is slightly different to what I already own.
Speaking of new releases, there are so many amazing new lipsticks coming out for SS16 (watch this space), and, yes, I would like at least one of each but do I really need them? Moreover, I can’t fit what I already have in my storage.
Now where was I? Oh, yes, that I am being more reasonable with my makeup purchases. Instead, I have invested in swimming classes several times per week and a wardrobe renewal (like these new shoes). I have been avoiding the latter like a plague but I am very pleased with all the items I have purchased in the last year. The fact that I got rid of the unloved pieces also makes me ridiculously happy, too. Hello, more space.
When it comes to beauty I try and make lists of things that I need or really want not to get any random stuff. So what where the latest beauty products I’ve bought?
Uriage Gyn Phy Intimate Hygiene Cleansing Gel – I’ve wanted to try this for ages, and finally bought a tube when the current one [Nivea this time] I was using got empty, and so far I am really loving it. You can get selected Uriage products from Escentual.com
Orofluido Shampoo (from feel unique)- another product I’ve had on my “to buy list” for quite some time. I am a big lover of all those oils infused shampoos and wanted to try get my hands on one of the most loved one.
CND Solar Oil – this is the one my manicurist uses and I love it very much, it moisturizes even the driest skin and makes the cuticle area look way better.
Mitchum Deodorant – the most exciting product, right? I actually am a fan of Garnier and have used up several bottles but after reading raves about this one – decided to give it a try, especially now that I am considering adding some extra aerobic exercises to my routine, besides swimming. I have always been very active and want to try new things this year, as well.
Oh, and Sali Hughes Pretty Honest book (Amazon) is in the picture, as I am finally reading it. Seriously, I’ve bought several beauty and fashion books and did not even read them but it has to be changed. I love how Sali addresses pretty much everything you can think of beauty-wise, and talks about things with knowledge but without patronising, and a sense of humour is a great bonus. If you ask me – sense of humour is crucial in life.
Last but not least, I have finally booked an appointment with my hair dresser. It is about time, last time I’ve seen her in July (here are the results)...
