I already made a post about Illamasqua’s new collection Body Electrics and you can read everything about it here. Three weeks ago I got an e-mail from Illamasqua which said that they sent me some items from this collection to try. I already lost my hope to get it because of the volcanic ash situation but the package came this week!
Everything came in a gorgeous black package and this is how it looked like inside:
So here is what I got:
- Body Kabuki brush
- Liquid metal in Surge
- I also got a Powdered Metal in Erzule, deep bronze shimmer
The powdered metal is not a part of the last collection so I was surprised to get it. American version of Body Electrics includes Powdered Metal but in Thalia, Golden tan shimmer.
Liquid Metal
I already wrote a review about Liquid Metal in Phenomena and you can read it here. My thoughts about this liquid metal are the same so instead of writing a review I will post a makeup using this product ( I already made photos by the way). But this is the best colour among the all four liquid metals in my opinion and if you can get only one of them – get this one. It is an original and rare colour. I’d describe it as greenish platina.
Powdered Metal
As for the Powdered Metal I will have to wait for summer to use it because it is very dark for my skin. But it is a beautiful bronze colour with shimmer.
Kabuki Brush
I was happy to get a brush for body because I had nothing like this in my collection so I will be definitely using it in summer. This brush is so soft and nice, “like a new pet” as Alex Box said.
Also I was very happy to get poster, card and booklet because I really love Illamasqua’s visuals.
So what are your thoughts? What would you like to try? What did you get for yourself?
Thank you, Illamasqua for a such a thoughtful present 🙂
That color sounds so cool, at first I thought it was just standard gunmetal grey, even though it does look very pretty already, but green grey sounds even better. I’d definitely get that
