It’s not a secret that I am a huge fan of Rouge Bunny Rouge eye shadows, and I was very excited about their newest palette which I have posted on my Instagram 6 weeks ago already.
The brand’s Eye Shadow Palette Raw Garden in Antigo is probably my favourite release, and here is why.
I really love the sleek and chic black compact, with a good mirror, and a very well edited selection of shades with a wavy pattern. You just can tell that it is a luxury product. Moreover, it comes in a beautiful cardboard packaging with a signature RBR design.
You get four beautiful and really versatile shades ( descriptions are from the brand):
- A very light, yellow-tinged neutral vanilla cream beige; the ideal base to even out your skin tone and add highlights
- A medium, cool taupe with a hint of pink
- A medium, true “café latte” brown taupe
- A dark, rich, powdery chocolate brown
And it is pretty much everything you need: a highlighter, a dark shade which can be used as a liner or in the outer corners for a definition and two shades to use all over the lid, cool and warm toned.
My personal favourite is a pinkish taupe which I have been using almost every day ever since I was sent this palette. I love it as much as Solstice Halcyon, my all time favourites.
The formula and the finish of the eye shadows are really interesting, I don’t even know how to describe it but the texture feels very lightweight but it is pigmented at the same time. As for the finish, I read that the it is described as “satin-matt” by the brand, and it is exactly that! It is not like a classic satin but definitely not a matte. Hopefully, the swatches below demonstrate it.
Anyway, as I’ve already said, this is my favourite release from a brand in a while, and I would definitely recommend.
Besides the palette, there is a new foundation (review) and a new lip balm which comes in three shades.
And here is a video of the new look which features all the new releases
