I can not think of another makeup product that impressed me as much as a colourful mascara once did. I still remember the day as if it was yesterday. I was in a bus and suddenly a girl with bold electric blue eye lashes caught my attention. I could not take my eyes away from her, from her lashes actually.
It impressed me so much that I just had to get a colourful mascara! But since it was a very long time ago, it was very hard for me to get one as I was still in school and had no money for a good, actually for any, colourful mascara. So after saving for a while I finally got one! It was one of the happiest moments ever in terms of beauty purchases.

I have chosen a purple mascara instead of blue. But the strangest thing is that I’ve used it only several times. The reason for that?! It did not give me that stunning effect I was hoping for. Since that I have bought several colorful mascaras in different shades but none impressed me that much.
I am still hoping to find a beautiful colourful mascara in the future though… But I am almost ready to give up.
What I am looking for? Most importantly – I want a mascara to give a true vibrant colour, not just a faded out tint that is nearly there.
So tell me… Do you use coloured mascara? Is there any that really gives a stunning colour? Which one is your favourite?
I have black eyelashes (dark brown hair and eyes) so colourful mascaras only make my lashes lighter which is not so good. I have a blue and a purple one for daylight but I always go back to black for a proper eye make up look!

A few months ago, I was feasting my eyes on Collistar’s blue mascara from the summer collection. I never bought it because of the price, but I have a feeling it would have been amazing. But my friend bought a blue Dior mascara and she’s very very satisfied with it! When she wears it, you simply can’t take your look off her eye lashes 🙂

i use a white lash primer and then layer on LaSplash colored mascara…..POP

I like the YSL purple one and it looks great. I also have a brown one from ‘majolica majorca’ (one of shisheido line), it is super pretty.
I would like to try more products from majolica majorca, I have only a lip gloss from them.
try Dior’s blue mascaras
they are electric and amazing!
(I’ve used Diorshow, the lengthening one, and Iconic – the blue ones in all of these are very colourful)

I have the Dior show mascara in blue and it is absolutely stunning…..although I am dark-haired my eye-lashes become flawlessly blue:)

I’m the same as you-only looking for a vibrant blue one. Tried the Korres Abyssinia one in Blue last summer, was quite underwhelming. I hear that the classic Maybelline one (in the green and pink packaging) provides a very intense shade, that will be my next trial! 😉 xx
