Face Of The Day: Coral & Peach

I have been shopping my stash lately, re-discovering a lot of amazing products that I have and have been experimenting  with my makeup quite a lot, too.

I usually go for berry or cool toned shades but lately I have been going for coral/orange quite a lot actually.

Here are the products  that I have used today…

I have started with a foundation that is a bit darker and warmer than my skin tone but still looks natural and gives a beautiful glowing finish – Daniel Sandler’s Invisible Radiance Foundation and Concealer in Beige.

Then added a golden highlighter, Jouer Highlighter in Champagne andwarmed up the complexion  with a beautiful Trish McEvoy’s  Golden Bronzer.

The main thing about this look was the vibrant coral blush, Benefit ChaCha Tint which instantly brightened up everything.  And since I kept the rest of makeup pretty much neutral – it was a  great pop of colour.

Guerlain Terracotta Makeup Collection for Summer 2013

It’s that time of the year when brands start bringing out their pre-summer collections that you can take  with you on  a mini break or a proper holiday. And, oh my goodness, I really need on of those and have my fingers crossed for one around May time…

So let’s take a look at the gorgeous Guerlain Terracotta collection for this summer, 2013.

TERRACOTTA 4 SEASONS Tailor-made Bronzing Powder £46.50 / €62

This is a cult product already and doesn’t even need an introduction, this year Guerlain added several new shades to the range:

00 NUDE For pale complexions. Comes with a fresh pink blush to illuminate the complexion, 02 NATURAL BLONDES, 03 NATURAL BRUNETTES, 08 EBONY For dark complexions. Comes with a red blush.

Other shades are: 04 MEDIUM BLONDES and 05 MEDIUM BRUNETTES.

00 Nude sounds amazing!

Olivier Échaudemaison application tips:

“Apply your Terracotta powder by tracing a figure “3” on each side of the face: from the forehead down towards the cheeks, then down along the jaw line to the chin and down the neck.

For the finishing touch, take a little more Terracotta powder with your brush and sweep it over the raised areas of the face, the places that catch the sun most – the forehead, nose, cheekbones and chin. The result is an instant glow.’

TERRACOTTA SKIN Glow-enhancing perfector £34/€46

This gives you a corrective coverage of a foundation  and the sheer transparency of a Terracotta powder, this powdery cream creates perfect make-up results while unifying your complexion and giving it a subtle, healthy glow.

YSL Terre Saharienne Bronzing Powder Review, Photos and Swatches

I can’t believe that I forgot to write about one of my favourite makeup products of this summer.

It’s a bronzer… And I am talking about Yves Saint Laurent’s Terre Saharienne Bronzing Powder (£31) in  N° 5 Cinnamon Sand.

It comes in a velvet pouch, the design of the palette is warm brown.

I’ve been using Terre Saharienne bronzer non-stop this summer. And I am really sorry but I can’t find the photos of this bronzer when it was untouched,  looks like I’ve accidentally deleted them.

It is such a shame that the YSL logo is almost gone by now, I really loved it.

Cinnamon Sand is a medium shade, there are two more: N° 4 Apricot Sand and N° 6 Bronze Sand.

I find that the shade that I have is perfect for light to medium skin tones as it is not dark but not too light. The shade is buildable so you can make it more intense. It is not orange at all and looks
