SS20 Mini Trend: Lip Oils

It looks like lip oils are here to stay. Clarins were among the first to start the trend a few years ago. But now more and more brands are releasing their version.

I have chosen five which stood out to me, just note that not all of them are brand new releases.  There are some new-er options in the end, too, so keep on reading.

Darphin Petal Infusion Lip Oil, £22; now £14

Drphin is one of my favourite brands and I really love the look of these lip oils.  They are infused with real flower petals: rose, cornflower or calendula.

Erborian Rose Infusion Lip Oil, £14 Amazon

Anything rose – I love, and you just gotta love the under £15 price tag.

ESPA Nourishing Lip Treatment Oil, £20 from JL

Another favourite [brand] of mine. Infused with

SS20 New In: Tom Ford, Kerastase, Le Labo and Rouje

As I’ve already mentioned a few times, these days I try to post about the new launches on my Facebook group.

But I still love writing these round-ups of the new launches which stood out to me the most, so here we go. Makeup, fragrance, hair care and a fragrance.

Tom Ford Rose Prick, £218 from Selfridges  and Nordstrom.

When it comes to names like this it can go very wrong it can just get too tacky and vulgar. However “rose prick” somehow manages to avoid that, or is it just me? And I can never have too many rose fragrances. Bulgarian, Turkish and Rose de Mai mixed with  Sichuan pepper, turmeric and tonka bean. I have to sniff it next time I am near TF counter.

Speaking of fragrances, the cult perfume brand Le Labo launched

SS20 New Foundations and Concealers: BECCA, NARS, Laura Mercier, Hourglass, Dior and Givenchy

It’s that time  of the year when the brands are bringing out new base products. I have posted about a few foundations already (Tom Ford, Bite Beauty, Estee Lauder). In fact,  if you want to know more about the new launches follow me on Facebook.

But here is the preview of some primers, foundations and concealers that caught my attention, and I’ve chosen 6 items.

The one which I am curious to try myself is definitely the  Givenchy  Teint Couture City Balm, £38 later on from from Sephora,  Barneys,  Neiman Marcus,  HarrodsNordstrom, Escentual and Feel Unique. I wear very light city SPF products myself, and this sounds right up my street. Besides their Teint Couture line is great.

Laura Mercier, The Queen of base products launched 5 primers which have to be mentioned.  Shown are  the Pure Canvas Primer Illuminating (“enhancing Porcelain Flower Extract and a blend of Micronized Pearls, the primer imparts a healthy glow on skin”) and Pure Canvas Primer Hydrating (“Olive Extract visibly smooths and locks in hydration while Marine Hydra Botanicals replenish skin and promote long term moisture recovery”). There are also Pure Canvas Primer Blurring, Pure Canvas Primer Protecting and Pure Canvas Primer Perfecting. $38 each from the website.

NARS Tinted Glow Busters, £28 (from Nordstorm, Selfridges,  Bloomingdales, Neiman Marcus  and Barneys.)are
