Boadicea the Victorious brand really caught my attention, mostly because of their fantastic design. I think if I had my own perfumery line, this is how I’d love the bottles to look like. The design is handmade by some of the oldest and established British manufacturers.
What does the name mean?
Boadicea is known as a warrior queen, she is was was queen of the British Iceni tribe, who was leading her people against the Roman Empire occupation. The brand, according to themselves, is very proud of their British heritage.
Boadicea the Victorious is a relatively new brand, it was found in 2008 and was available exclusively at Harrods but is now available in several different countries.
The fragrances are actually unisex so you get to choose whatever you want to, without following the “label”. The price is £150 for 100 ml.

There are several collections: The Courage Collection, The Power Collection, The Spirit Collection, The Vigour Collection, The Classic Collection, The Black Collection (Exclusive collection for Russia, each fragrance is £580 for 100ml). Each collection offers a number of scents.
Some scents are available in purse spray which is great.
The best thing is that you can get samples for £1.20 at the brand’s website. I am definitely going to get several at some point. I’ll just have to choose what exactly I’d like to try. I think all brands should have samples available!
And have you tried Boadicea the Victorious? Which is your favourite scent? What samples would you recommend me getting first?
I have Salubrious, it’s very strong, amberish, oud, inscence ish, but I love strong heavy scents. It’s also very long wearing.
I thinks it’s a great brand and plan on trying more of them.
Thanks a lot for your comment, Lee!
