After taking a mini bottle of this perfume on holiday with me, I knew I had to have a full-size version in my life.
Let me introduce No One Elsie, a hair and skin fragrance by Arkive.
The attention to details is incredible. The box, the “card” with the story and the notes which could be used as a bookmark, as an idea. The chic design of the bottle and the intricate details.
I also absolutely love that this fragrance was inspired by Adam’s, who is the founder of the brand, grandmother Elsie. It made me think of the scents associated with my own Nan. Sunny late Spring day, early morning and the intoxicating smell of the peonies my Grandma would plant in abundance near the porch.
But back to No One Elsie. I find this to be such a beautiful fragrance, aromatic and green (rhubarb & tomato leaf) with honeysuckle & redcurrant adding some sweetness. Finally, palo santo and vetiver. The scent is so uplifting, I just can’t get enough of it and generously spray it on my hair and pulse points.
While I don’t find the fragrance to be long-lasting on me, I don’t mind, as I am not a fan of heavy and cloying perfumes for Spring/Summer, so this is perfect. And always an excuse to top it up.
The price is £30 for 50ml which is very good, I find. However, it is only £20 from Boots now.
