Benefit’s High Beam can be probably called a cult product already, no?
This was my first liquid highlighter and it was a total love! Although I adore my BECCA I am still in love with my Benefit.
High Beam is described as a satiny pink luminescent complexion enhancer and I have to agree with it. It gives a gorgeous luminous glow and helps you to look glowy and radiant.
I like using my High Beam on the cheek bones, under the brows, above the upper lip and sometimes in the centre of my nose. Basically as you would have used any other highlighter.
I also like the cute bottle which some people mistaken for a nail polish and get shocked when I am trying to use it on their face 😉 Here is how the brush looks like
I like applying several dots on my face and then just blend it with my fingers. What could be easier?
The regular bottle contains 13ml and retails for £18.50/$24 but I love that Benefit often have those mini-sized packages which are amazing to take with you when you are travelling.
Although you get only 13ml it lasts you for ages, I promise.
And here is how High Beam looks like swatched, it is not completely blended out so that you can see the kind of effect it gives.
Benefit also have Moon Beam which is a  golden apricot iridescent complexion enhancer which I’ve never tried unfortunately. But I hope I will one day.
So what are your thoughts? Are you a fan of the Benefit’s liquid highlighters and stains?
I feel almost embarrassed to say that I have never tried this cult classic although I have often wondered about it. I’d love to try the Becca too. Do you want to help me decide which one I should go for first?

I love BECCA the best so I would say – go for it. But Benefit often makes those sets with a lot of mini products which I personally think is a great way to try a lot of their products. Now they have Finding Mr. Bright set with a mini High Beam, too x
I tried both and honestly I prefer the BECCA in comparison to the Benefit. I guess its because of the tanned yellow tone skin I have (being Asian). Both color options are just a bit too extreme for me but the BECCA is just subtle but there to show and create a natural highlight.
Hi Su,
Rouge Bunny Rouge also make great highlighters, will write about those soon.
