I love putting together wish lists and gift guides, and you can read my previous ones here. However, I wanted to write one this year, as well, as there are so many exciting new products. I have been browsing for hours to choose the best and to feature only 10 items: 5 makeup and 5 beauty (or 7 beauty if you count two alternatives). So, here we are.
1. Advent Calendar The Socialite Family x Oh My Cream, £175 here
Of all the beauty advent calendars I have seen, I like this one the most. Not only does it include some of my all-time favourite brands but also a few ones I want to try (Ceremonia, for example). Absolutely gorgeous!
2. Victoria Beckham Beauty Greatest & Latest Set, £55 here
You can’t go wrong with Victoria Beckham Beauty. She has the best kajals on the market, I am on my 3rd one now. The lip balms should be amazing, too. I am very tempted to get one, but not until I finish one of the balms I already have. The cool thing about this set is that you can select the shades you want, more brands should do this!
3. Westman Atelier Petite Fête Edition, £55 here
Gucci brought together a chic design with fantastic formulas, and while I have other products from the brand on my wish list, this is a great kit to discover the brand. You get: Petite Eye Want You Mascara (4.5ml), Petite Baby Cheeks Blush Stick in ‘Bubble’ (2.5g) and Petite Lit Up Highlight Stick in ‘Toast’ (2.5g)
4. Lisa Eldridge Velvet Smoke Lip Kit, £75 here
True Velvet Lip Colours in Velvet Duchess, Velvet Blush, Velvet Muse and NEW Chocolate Cherry Velvet Makeup Bag. Although I prefer the glosses, I couldn’t leave this beautiful set out.
5. Trish McEvoy Gorgeous Eye Essentials, £146 here
This is such an underrated brand, and it really deserves more attention. While not cheap at £146, you will have all your eye makeup covered (unless you want more, of course). The Instant Eye Lift (review) is probably the best under eye product I’ve ever used, by the way.
6. Dries Van Noten Modepaleis Discovery set, £53 here
Perfume samples are a great present, and I often ask for them myself. It doesn’t get better than DVN. The set includes: Jardin De L’Orangerie, Neon Garden, Rosa Carnivora, Raving Rose, Cannabis Patchouli, Santal Greenery, Voodoo Chile, Roch The Myrrh, Fleur Du Mal, and Soie Malaquais.
Each is a 2ml eau de parfum.
7. Loewe Candles, starting at £85 from here
Good candles are expensive but these are even more so. They would make such a special and generous gift though. I love the look of the red tomato one.
However, I also come across these St. Agnes candles (here) and love the Beachy Glaze Candle in English Rose. It is very reasonably priced at £22!
8. ROZ Hair The Mini Essentials, £68 from here
Includes Travel FOUNDATION Shampoo (70ml), Travel FOUNDATION Conditioner (70ml), Travel MILK Hair Serum (25 ml), Travel SANTA Lucia Styling Oil (15ml), and a reusable and recyclable pouch. Alternatively Act+Acre Cold Processed Cleanse Shampoo – 285ml, £30 from here or any other products from them. Both are founded by celebrity Hair Stylists and look incredibly chic.
9. Finisterre x Pelegrims | “Vineyard to Sea” Skincare Collection, £65 here.
I love buying from independent brands, and this kit is dreamy. You get Lip Salve (15ml), Hair & Body Oil (30ml), Hand Pomade (60ml) and a makeup bag.
10. Holistic Silk Silk Pillowcase, £89 from here.
As dramatic as it sounds, this silk pillowcase is life-changing! I was sent a Holistic Silk one in PR in 2020 and have been using it ever since. I don’t ever want to be without it and would definitely buy it again. Both for myself and as a present.
