Happy Valentine’s Day and Makeup4all Turns 5!

Today is a very special day! First of all, it’s Valentine’s Day, and, for the first time ever, I am very excited about it! The reason? Makeup4all turns 5 today, and I am very happy and proud.

So, I thought today I’d share some random facts about the website.

How And Why It All Started

 I often get asked why did I even start this all. I was always a bit obsessed with all things beauty, in fact, I am a trained Make-Up Artist, and would always go on, and on about it all, and decided to document my thoughts and share with others.

I did not read any beauty websites or blogs, and did not even know that  they existed or were a thing.   At first I did not really know how or what I should do, but I kind of enjoyed it, and decided to keep on going. Well, I am so happy I did.

By the way, the first two blogs that I discovered and  still follow are Jane’s British Beauty Blogger and Karen’s Makeup and beauty Blog.  You can read their interviews here.

 Most Exciting Moments

I remember I would spend almost all of my free time typing away about beauty, but for weeks I had no visitors at all. So the most exciting thing for me was when I had 261 unique visitors for the first time. After 5-10 people that number seemed unbelievable.

I also remember my very first comment, I  read it over, and over again, and was very happy that a real person (not endless spam), was actually interested.

One more very exciting thing was when Dior noticed my article about the brand, and liked it so much that they posted it to their official Facebook page. Just imagine the traffic! I was so shocked and overwhelmed, at the same time. And that was the moment when I’ve realized that  I can never give up on Makeup4all. It just became a very big part of my life.

Also I was blown away when several people told me that I’ve inspired them to start their own blog.  That just means so much…

I would like to say a big thank you to all the lovely readers for being with me during all these years; to all the brands that worked with me, it was a pleasure.
