So here is the first Hourglass product that I am going to review. It is a Calligraphy Liquid Eye Liner.
It is a “refined felt-tip precision eye liner designed to create striking, defined eyes without tug or skip.” This is a best selling products from the brand (along with their primer and foundation).
Now I do love my Illamasqua Precision Inks but these from Hourglass have a different applicator so it’s a different story.
What do I like about this product:
The best thing is that it’s easy to apply it! It has a precise and steady applicator so it’s unlikely that you will make a mess. I use mine to draw a very precise line as close to my eye lashes as I can to get that defined look. I usually just draw a very fine line.
It’s waterproof and stays on for a long time.
Calligraphy dries pretty fast and doesn’t smudge all over the place. Plus it never transferred in my case.
It is said that it contains Pearl Protein and a botanical blend of Chamomile, Aloe, Rosemary and Perilla extract to condition and nourish the eyes.
Also a lot of you would be happy that it’s Sulfates, Synthetic Fragrances and Phthalates free.
I read that some people say that it doesn’t go on so smooth as they would like but I’ve never had any problems; in fact I am happy with the application! But when you apply it over the cream eye shadows make sure that they are set.
I really like Calligraphy so far but I can’t say how soon it will dry out as I’ve been using mine for less than a month.
The price: £22 at Zuneta or $32 at Sephora
