About a month ago I was chatting with one friend who is a beauty journalist and she told me the following:
“One of the things I get sad about is that I find it harder and harder to be enthusiastic about beauty products…because I literally see SO much.”
I have to agree with her in some way. I remember my early twenties when I was extremely excited about so many beauty things but now, when I see a lot of new collections and products and write about them daily, I’ve got a feeling that I have most (but not all of course) of the things that I want.

Don’t get me wrong, I always get very excited to see the new makeup and beauty products. But I if I used to think that I can’t live without almost every beauty product, now I don’t buy everything that I see. Althought, I do love trying new brands and products!
You know what makes me happy? When I see the product that I REALLY want. You know the kind of the product that you can’t wait to get! And you check on-line shops every day to see if it’s already available or run (yes, run!) to the closest makeup store to see if it’s already there.
I am sure that you know what I am talking about! And I am happy that right now there are some products that I can’t wait to get. One of them is the NYC inspired palette from Urban Decay because I just love their palettes!
I also want to get ALL creaseless cream eye shadows by Benefit because they are too good not to get them, some Chanel and Guerlain lipsticks and a lot of BECCA products. I also want to try the new Givenchy eye shadows.
And what about you? Can you tell me about ONE makeup item that you can’t wait to get? Why do you want it?
I can hardly wait to try the Chanel Holiday 2010 quad. It’s shades of peach, warm brown, copper, copper plum. I think the Cassis eye pencil I already have from the fall collection will look beautiful with the new quad. Because my eyes are a deep moss green–warm rather than cool in tone–the colors in the new quad are ideally suited to me.
To be honest, I don’t like the Chanel quads that we have in Europe that much (I find the shadows to be too dry) but I’ve heard that they are better in the US. I think I should get a quad from Amerca one day!

Is the photo of the Givenchy quad one of those that would be released for Fall too? I like the combination of the 4 shades. Very pretty.
ONE makeup item….that’s a tough one. But if I really have to choose ONLY ONE, it would have to be NARS Orgasm blush….. Why? Because we don’t have NARS in Malaysia, and I have been waiting for the longest time to visit a NARS counter, also I have heard so much raves about it, that I just got to have it and see for myself, and play with it!
