I have already shown you the Duo Blusher in Ketie and Ambition from the Illamasqua’s SS 2013 makeup collection I’M Perfection.
So today I want to show you their newest lipstick – Immodest. I personally think this is an awesome name for such a beautiful bright candy pink.
This is my fourth lipstick from the brand so I am already familiar with the quality and the formula, you can see the other shades: Over (coral), Atomic (fuchsia) and Kontrol (purple).
The brand’s lipsticks are perfect for a statement lip, as the pigmentation is amazing, you get a full-on colour with one layer.
As for this particular shade, it is a bright and vibrant pink but you can actually pat it on with your fingers to create a pretty subtle effect that really brightens and refreshes the look. You could also use it as a blusher.
Since this is a matte formula, you have to make sure that your lips are in perfect condition, as otherwise, it will enhance the dry patches. Plus it can be a bit drying, but long-wearing, so make sure you moisturize your lips properly before (not straight before the application) and after (after you take the lipstick off, I mean).
On the photo above, I am not wearing this lipstick “full-on” so that you can see that it can be very wearable , even if you are afraid of bright colours.
I love that shade, it’s so pretty and wearable!
Isn’t it?
I really like the color…and the fact that it is matte and long wearing…I do have trouble with dry lips though 🙁
hi Jennifer,
I think that’s what you get with all matte lipsticks. But lip scrub and a good balm can do wonders!
