Do you have any makeup memories from your childhood?
My Mum doesn’t really use makeup these days and she never wore  a full face of makeup on a daily basis as far as I know. But in the past I remember she would wear some on the special occasions.
I would never forget the cake mascara she had and how she would use a  lipstick as a blush. I also remember that she had a lot of lipsticks and I loved looking at them, occasionally I also loved using them on myself and… on  the wall. But well, to defend myself I can say that I don’t remember doing that as it was ages ago.
When did you start using makeup? Do you remember what brands did you get?
I’ve started wearing makeup when I was 14, I remember how I’ve asked my parents to get me some makeup for my Birthday and they did. They got me mascara, several eye shadows and lip glosses. I can’t believe that I don’t remember what was the brand’s name though. I remember that I was buying Mary Kay and Max Factor in the past and I was really enjoying both brands.
What product changed your idea about the makeup?

Definitely blush! I am a HUGE fan of blush. I remember when I was 14 or 15, I got a sample of a Mary Kay blush which was on a paper and I loved it so much that I had to call a lady I knew who worked for the brand to get myself one. I’ve noticed that it made a huge difference to the way my face looked  and some people noticed, too. But I never gave away my secret 😉 I really wish I’d remember the name! But all I can say is that I’ve used up my first blush till the last drop and this is how my love affair with the blushes began.  Blush is definitely one of my favourite makeup products these days.
What was the first luxury brand you’ve bought with your  own money?
I’ve bought my first luxury makeup product at my late teens and it was Lancome, I remember how happy and proud of  myself I was. Not long after that I’ve got some Dior and Chanel. To tell the truth, my parents never forbid me to buy makeup but they always told me that I had to get it myself.  And now I think that  it was actually a good lesson as I’ve learned how to save up for something that I’ve wanted.

I love so many different products from different brands but if I really had to choose, right now I would choose BECCA and Hourglass Cosmetics.

Begging and begging my mom to let me wear makeup!!!! finally at 12 she let me get a neon metallic blue and green eyeliner!!!!

Mostly drug store. Lots of cover girl!!!!!!
3. What product changed your idea about the makeup? MAC eyeshadows!!!! didnt know something could be so pigmented and silky feeling!!!!
4. What was the first luxury brand you’ve bought with your own money? Lancome mascara. I went in saying I achieve these eyelashes with these two drugstore mascaras. one lengthening and one volume. Don’t remember now what mascara it was but wow it work!!! achieved the look I wanted with one mascara.
5. What is your favourite brand these days?
MAC and Estee Lauder. MAC because I love their eyeshadows like I said. I find they do the best brown/copper/coral shades ever…. cut to fit is my all time fave!!!! Estee Lauder because I never thought I would find a foundation that would stay put with my oily sweaty skin and cover my nasty acne prone and scarred face!!!! DOUBLE WEAR IS MY HOLLY GRAIL!!!!!! ps: doesnt feel heavy on like you think it would!!!!!!!

1. Do you have any makeup memories from your childhood?
My mum never really wore makeup but when I was a child she used to wear nail polishes a lot. I would watch her fascinated and she would teach me how to apply it.
2. When did you start using makeup? Do you remember what brands did you get?
I think I was about 16. I used L’Oreal and Pupa a lot.
3. What product changed your idea about the makeup?
Eyeshadow primer! My eyeshadows would often fade and crease after a few hours until I started using primer.
4. What was the first luxury brand you’ve bought with your own money?
A Guerlain nail polish ages ago. I don’t think they nail polishes anymore.
5. What is your favourite brand these days?
I have lots.. Pupa, Barry M, Sleek, Urban Decay, Estee Lauder…
Thanks for sharing, Gio. Luckily my eye shadows almost don’t crease. Interesting about the Guerlain nail polish. I remember my aunt had LOTS of nail polishes, I was always so jealous. And now I get her beauty products 🙂

Of course! I used to steal my aunt’s makeup, lol 😀 And her high heels of course! 😀 She always had some great lip color, that’s probably why I love lipsticks so much 🙂

Quite late actually, I was 15and while that might seem early, I have to add that all the girls I knew wore makeup with 13/14yrs 🙂 And 1st products I got were Rimmel London – mascara, concealer, eyebrow pencil and some eyeshadow. That was really cheap but I felt like I’ve spent $$$! 😀 I got some money for being good in school haha 😀
3. What product changed your idea about the makeup?
Probably mineral makeup in general and primers (eyeshadow, face, etc)! I don’t know how I lived without those before!
4. What was the first luxury brand you’ve bought with your own money?
Hmm, I don’t remember, lol. I think it was Dior Petal Shine palette. (or, if you count perfumes it was Escada Magnetism 5 or 6 years ago)
5. What is your favourite brand these days?
Well, obviously Inglot (that’s your fault! :D) and Too Faced, but I love many others as well 🙂
