Nails Of The Day: LVX Sanguine Nail Lacquer

I am happy to share about the new nail polish brand called LVX (Latin, means Light) which  is a 5 Free (without Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, DBP, Toluene, and Camphor), cruelty free, vegan nail polish.

The main idea behind the brand is to compliment the seasonal fashion trends.

So far there are only three collections available – Summer 2012, Fall/Winter 2012 and Winter Resort 2013. And I have a shade which is a part of the Fall/Winter collection and is called Sanguine.

The formula of this nail polish is great, it goes on  smoothly without streaks and looks beautiful even with one coat, but I still prefer two. The brush, which is also a very important thing, is nice,aw well. It’s not too thin or too thick (although I personally like thick brushes), just spot on.

This colour is perfection, it is an opaque deep crimson creme! But it’s not all that simple. In the direct sunshine you can see a very delicate shimmer, which looks almost magical. This shimmer is not obvious otherwise, so I am happy we had a sunny day when I was trying this nail polish.

Unfortunately, my swatch doesn’t do the shade any justice. I took a lot of photos but non of them could really show Sanguine in all it’s glory…

I am not yet sure about the staying power, as I’ve been wearing it for two days only, but so far I am loving it.

As for the price, it is  €12.99 for 17ml! So you get a lot of nail polish for your money. You can buy yours from Could10Beauty.

Anyway, I would recommend this nail polish for people who are looking out for high quality niche brands that offer beautiful shades.
