I have finally got my hands on one of the nail polishes from the Models Own Beetlejuice collection which is beyond gorgeous!
I really wanted to get four of them but decided to start with one colour and treat myself to others later. Why four and not all five? Emerald Green reminds me of my all time favourite Illamasqua’s Viridian and I don’t need two very similar nail polishes.
So I’ve picked Purple Blue which is such a gorgeous shade and I can’t believe that it was only £5! Models Own describe the shade as a ‘vibrant punch of fuchsia indigo’ and I would agree. It is like a purple based polish with duochrome indigo shimmer, absolutely breathtaking! Especially in the sun…
It is very sheer with one coat but looks gorgeous with two coats. The formula is nice and I did not have any problems with the application.
My verdict? You need at least one nail polish from this collection. Seriously, with the quality and colour you get for the price, it’s a must have. I really hope Models Own plan to launch more shades!
I am definitely getting Pinky Brown and Aqua Violet. Not sure about Golden Green (which reminds me of Peridot), as I am not sure it will look nice on me…
You can buy Models Own from ASOS.
I really don’t need another purple but this is so beautiful it makes me want to weep! Up on my wish list it goes!
But you have an excuse as it’s not really purple, it has turquoise shimmer! 🙂
Hmmmm – I loooooove the look of the Beetlejuice polishes and have a few other lovely looking colours from Models Own. BUT – and for some this is a biggie and for me this is why they are unopened as am undecided – they contain touelene. I generally do go for 3 (or more) free polishes and was not aware that the MO ones weren’t 🙁 Too late after an uber attack on an asos sale! It’s not something that you can see when looking at them in Boots either!
Hi Anne,
That’s a shame. Maybe try using a base coat before applying them?
That’s a gorgeous shade! I need to try something from this collection soon.
