I am sure that you know that it’s time of Fashion Weeks and while many people are interested in the designer clothes and accessories I am really interested in the beauty/hair/nails at the shows. Don’t get me wrong, I like the clothes/shoes/bags etc but I love looking at the creative and often extravagant looks.
I’ve got the details about quite a few looks so I will publish some of my favourites. I really like this look by NARS so here are the details on how you can create it yourself!
SHOW: Thakoon
LEAD ARTIST: Diane Kendal for NARS Cosmetics
TREND: Tribal eyes and muted lips
INSPIRATION: “The collection draws inspiration from the opulence of the Rococo period and the style of the Masai tribe in Africa,” said designer Thakoon Panichgul. “There are a lot of primary colors, but also gorgeous marabou feathers, so we wanted to create a balance to everything to ensure it was really believable. We’ve always done fresh, pretty, natural, and it was time for a strong makeup look.”
LOOK: “With Thakoon’s references to this idea of tribal opulence, I felt that if we were going to do “color” it would have to be focused on the eye with one central color theme, and nothing else. There was a lot of youth in the group of models, so we wanted to keep the look very fresh. Red was a natural choice, complimenting the use of color throughout the collection”

I am not trying to say that it’s an everyday look but it looks so beautiful on the runway! Bright oranges and reds, so vibrant and juicy, love it! Plus I love the idea of using blushes as an eye shadows.
how disappointing….hideous. No one would look good in those pallettes.
I think it’s simply stunning and vibrant. I think all races and all face shapes can pull off such a look. I actually will try it myself. As for Ann, she’s just being arrogant because she is probably to hideous to wear the look herself ! LOL.
