I’ve used Philip Kingsley for years, and they have so many iconic products. A few months ago, I got my hands on their Body Building Shampoo in the special edition Rose and Lychee version.

The original Body Building Shampoo is great, and so is this one. I find that it doesn’t weigh my hair down but instead leaves it looking glossy and smooth. While I do use an extra volumising product, if your hair is already thick, you might see enough lift from just this shampoo.
I absolutely love the formula, as you can probably tell, but it’s the scent that makes this version so special. It’s rooted in Ayurvedic rituals and promises “a blend of rose centifolia used to balance emotions, and Bengal lychee cultivated in India for its stress-relieving properties.” And let me tell you – it’s phenomenal. Long-time readers will know how obsessed I am with fruity rose scents, and it is exactly that. Add notes of wild cedarwood, royal saffron, and Sicilian amber, and you’ve got yourself a heavenly-scented product. It may not make me entirely stress-free (wish it was that easy!), but it definitely lifts my mood.
I’ve realised I need more of this rose and lychee combo in my life, which is how I discovered the Nest perfume, and I’ll definitely be picking that up soon. As for my next shampoo, I’m tempted to try Hello Klean. Have you tried it? Is it any good?

Philip Kingsley Rose and Lychee Body Building Shampoo is £46 for 500 ml but it’s now 30% off, so you can get it for £32.20.
