Shiseido really nailed it with their re-launch a few years ago. As a result, their products look chic and perform brilliantly. And today I want to share about their Essentialist Eye Shadow Palettes.
In particular, how sleek does the compact look? Minimalistic and modern. Just black with a bit of red. It definitely sparks joy! [Hello, Mary Kondo].
Besides the outstanding packaging, the brand is known for their fresh and unique colour combinations. The attention to details when it comes to shade nuances is impressive. All of their eye palettes are gorgeous, if you ask me. But I only have one and it’s 06 Hanatsubaki Street Nightlife.
Can you see what I mean about the colours being absolutely gorgeous? As you can tell from the photo above, you get two matte shades, one metallic and one [the darkest one] with some micro shimmer.
The texture is satin like, very smooth, and feels incredibly light once applied, it is almost weightless. You can have just a wash of colour or build it up for a more intense effect. I like the third shade in the palette, especially, it’s a beautiful mauve. While I love it for my brown eyes, it would look incredible for green and blue eye ladies/gents, too.
I find that that the staying power is pretty impressive, as well.
Moreover, none of the shades look dull or flat.
Therefore, I am a big fan and reach out for the palette a lot. Inspired by one of the Tokyo’s streets it is like a work of art.
