SOL DE JANEIRO Brazilian Bum Bum Cream Review

As you can imagine, I see new beauty launches every single day so the product has to be very special to stand out, let alone, for me to want to buy it,  especially considering the amount of items I already have.

But when I saw SOL DE JANEIRO Brazilian Bum Bum Cream  I knew I had to have it. To be honest, the team behind this product are a bunch of geniuses! Everything about this gem is very clever from the name, the eye catching design, online presence to the product itself. You simply can’t resist it.Interestingly enough, I did not buy this cream myself, my partner noticed my obsession and got it for me. Which proves once again that the name is brilliant! Bum bum

So what about my impression? The first thing you notice is the oh-so-cool design. Who does not want that bright cheerful yellow packaging?  They’ve also nailed the fronts and the lid.

So what do we have? A cream that is promised to tighten and smooth, and to absorb fast. Does it deliver? Heck yes!  While I do not have a problem with even the greasiest formulas to absorb, this one is one another level, it literally soaks in [I have very dry skin] within seconds, and I am not afraid that my clothes will be ruined.  And the skin is very soft and smooth afterwards.  Since the product is also enriched with  guaraná, which is believed to be  one of the most potent forms of caffeine, it stimulates the circulation hence helps with the skin being tighter. Just don’t expect supernatural effects, it is a cream not Gym+Healthy eating in a tube.

One last thing that I am crazy about is the scent.   I am no Tania Sanchez so bare with me.  I personally  think the  this fragrance is  like summer, Rio de Janeiro and Carnivals (Salted caramel and pistachio).  This is what the cream makers say, and I believe them, I really do!   And Other Stories Couture Carnival  have a similar scent by the way, and I love it. as well.I do enjoy the fact  that it lingers and stays on the skin,  however, lovers of not scented body products may not be impressed.

The cream is free from phthalates, parabens, propylene glycol, synthetic colours, petrolatum. I want another one, and more products  from the brand. Please, and thank you. While it is called bum bum cream, I use it all over my body, and could not be happier. I bet it will be my skin’s best friend in gloomy winter months. This cream is as good as it gets, and I’ve tried a lot.

This is the case where the product is worth the hype, and you can check it out for yourself 75ml – £18/ 240ml – £44 from Cult Beauty, Harvey Nichols,$45 from Sephora, Amazon.
