SS15 Sheer Lipsticks: Givenchy, Lancome, Urban Decay and Bare Minerals

New season – new lipstick, right? Here are some of the variants which you can consider. I have already posted about a lot of new lipsticks (browse here), and here are even more. This time it’s all abut the sheer, glossy, balmy textures. And, yes, there will be a separate feature about different ones.

First of all, here is a preview of Givenchy’s Rouge A Porter which comes in a chic thin leather tube and is a glossy sister of my favourite Le Rouge.  Available for £25 from Harrods.

Please excuse the bad quality of the photos, they were made with a phone camera + a bad light in store. But, hopefully, it will give you an idea of what to expect.

Lancome  brought out a sheer glossy lipstick, which I have also tried at the counter, and loved – Shine Lover Vibrant Shine Lipstick ($25 from Nordstrom). It should moisturize and hydrate the lips thanks to rose de muscat oil, and it did feel amazing on. There are quite a few shades to choose from.

UD Obsessed, BM Rose Passion and Lancome 388 Plum D’audice.

If you want to explore the “lip oils world” (YSL and Clarins) – you can go for Bare Minerals Pop of Passion Lip Oil Balm ($16 from Nordstrom) which look too pretty with that floral-ish pattern.  According to the brand, it [the lipstick] nourishes and hydrates the lips (vitamin E and fruit seed oil) while giving them a beautiful hint of colour. Available in 7 shades.

Urban Decay Sheer Revolution ( $22 from Nordstrom/ £15.50 from Selfridges), just like all the lipsticks in this feature it is a sheer and glossy one,  infused with shea butter and jojoba, olive and babassu oils  to moisturize and condition while vitamins C and E provide a hit of antioxidants. There are 10 options.

Which one would you go for?
