Balance Me Cleanse and Smooth Face Balm Review

If you are a regular reader, you know that I try to feature a lot of cleansing balms and melting cleansers. I find that these work the best for very dry and sensitive skin. And if  you have a similar skin  type – hopefully  find those posts helpful. Here is the first round-up of such cleansers, and there will be a second one with time.

Balance Me Cleanse and Smooth Face Balm review rave

Today I want to share about  the Balance Me Cleanse and Smooth Face Balm, which was featured in my February favourites. And it is definitely one of the best cleansers I have ever used.

Why is it so good?

Since it is oil based (camellia, kukui nut and rosehip oils with cocoa, mango and shea butters, English camomile and red mandarin essential oils) – it doesn’t leave the skin feeling dried out or tight and you don’t get that I-need-to-put-on-a-moisturizer-immediately feeling.  In fact, it’s the opposite, the skin is nourished, moisturized, smooth and soft.

This cleanser contains fine oat powder which gently exfoliates the skin, and leaves it radiant and glowing. I can instantly see the difference. Plus,  I never experience any irritation.

I personally always use a separate eye makeup remover, so can’t make any comments about that. But Cleanse and Smooth Face Balm is a great product to remove face makeup.

How to use it? Since it is so rich and “oily” I would recommend using a muslin cloth it comes with, or a wash cloth of your choice to remove all the residue.

This product is absolutely amazing for a relaxing facial massage at the end of the day. Sometimes I even leave it for several minutes, like a mask, to get the benefits of all the oils. And did I mention that it smells absolutely divine?

The price is £20 for 125 ml which is more affordable than most similar products. You can get it from John Lewis, Debenhams or Look Fantastic, and I would definitely recommend.
