Affordable Eye Shadow Palettes: Maybelline, Max Factor, L’Oreal and Revolution

I am sorry for the lack of updates but I have been very busy with work and one project I am currently involved in. But since I have decided to sort out my makeup, I’ve wanted to post about some of the affordable eye shadow palettes that I am passing onto my friends (three of them, one I am keeping for myself).

I am also giving away like 30 lipsticks which makes me kind of proud. I should really  give away a lot more, but I could never bring myself to parting with my precious. Think Gollum from The Lord Of The Rings, ahem.

But here are the palettes.

And they are Max Factor, Maybelline, L’Oreal and Makeup Revolution.

Max Factor Masterpiece Nude Palette Contouring Eye Shadows in 03 Rose Nudes (from Amazon UK and Amazon)

This is the one that I am keeping for myself. But, in my defense, I am giving away some other palettes not shown on the photo. While the photo is not the best quality you can still see how incredibly pigmented these eye shadows are. They are really smooth and buttery, and better quality than some high end ones. I am very impressed.

There are two other colour variations available if rose nudes are not your thing. But if you are looking for a high quality eye shadows for an affordable price – check these out.

Maybelline The Blushed Nudes Palette ( from Amazon and  Amazon UK)

A good balance of dark and highlighter-y shades with a lot of pinkish options. I know a friend who will love it.

L’Oreal La Palette Nude 01 Rose

This is a very compact palette with some interesting shades, along with versatile nudes, but I can’t seem to find it online…

Revolution  Makeup Redemption Palette  Iconic 3  (from Amazon and Amazon UK)

This palette was featured in my February favourites, and  I still think it is great, especially for the price, but considering that I am using only three or four shades out of it, a friend of mine will give it a better home.

I am actually curious if any of you still use palettes, or have you switched to mono/duo shadows like myself?

  1. Ah, these look sooo familiar )). I totally agree with you on the Max Factor palette. It is indeed great, so great I didn’t expect to like it so much and was hesitant to pass it on. It is very on par with the high end palettes and dare I say even better quality than many of them. The best out of the bunch of drugstore palettes I think. Really really good.
I am with you on using the single eye shadows here too )).
