I was given two products from the upcoming Clarins Autumn collection to show you and I would like to start with the Crayon Khol as it is a brand new product.
There are eight shades and I have 05 Intense Violet.
I have been wearing it every day for the past week and am ready to share my impression.
In terms of the formula – it is a soft and smooth pencil which glides on the skin without dragging or pulling it. As for the pigmentation – it is great, as well. You get a nice colour pay-off and deep shade with one swipe.
But what about the staying power?
As you would imagine, it would fade and smudge a bit after several hours, as most (all?) crayons with such formula would.
But since I don’t use this khol to create crisp line and like to smudge it anyway with the little brush it comes with, which works great, I don’t mind at all. Besides, if you want long-lasting staying products – gels and liquids are your best friends.
Tip: to make it last longer you could use a good base and seal it with an eye shadow of the same colour.
I think Crayon Khol (£17) is a great addition to the brand’s cosmetics line, they are perfect for a several-seconds-smoky-eyes and for defining the eyes in general. Now they only need to bring out some gel liners, too.
And if you are curious about the 3 Dot eye liner – I have a review, as well.
