When I am plan on doing someone’s makeup, I usually take two primers with me: Illamasqua’s Satin Primer for dull complexions and Daniel Sandler’s Retexturizing Primer SPF 20.
This silicone-based primer definitely helps a lot as it smooths the face, feeling in the fine lines and pores, which makes the foundation apply easier and last longer.
I have tried it on a lot of people and
it actually worked great on everyone. It was enough for the dry skin and I have powdered the oily skin afterwards so there were no problems at all. I like the fact that it is transparent so doesn’t leave any white residue and doesn’t change the skin tone (yes, some primers can do that!).
Plus you also get SPF 20 which is always a great bonus.

This is a great primer to get if you want something that would work on a lot of skin types, would last you for a long time, as you need a small amount, and would not cost you a fortune (£20.50).
Might have to give this one a bash, on the lookout for a decent primer.

I love this primer – completely agree with it filling in lines and pores! In face I love most of the Daniel Sandler Makeup especially the blush! I got mine from Hairtrade as it seems to be the cheapest place at the moment. Here’s the link if anyone wants to have a look – link
