Hourglass is a luxury and innovative beauty brand and today I want to tell you about their Immaculate Liquid Powder Foundation, which is pretty genius.
First of all, I love the gorgeous silver design, very high-end. You get what you pay for, in my opinion.
But what about the foundation itself? Since I have very dry skin, I don’t use it on myself, but used it on quite a few people, including brides, so I am sharing mostly their impressions and the visible effects that I could see.
It gives a velvet matte finish but doesn’t look like a mask, although blush, highlighter and some contouring is a must – to give your face some structure aftrerwards.
It gives a medium-to-full coverage and covers most of the imperfections, if not all.
Since it’s a foundation for oily skin – it has a very special formula. It dries down to powder finish and I personally never used powder on top, as it would be too much. Hourglass say that Immaculate contains Cashmere Kaolinite Clay which absorbs skin oil, “75% of its weight in sebum” to be exact.
All the girls were happy with the lasting power and the performance (it did not dry out the skin and felt comfortable on; I’ve asked). Only one, with very oily skin, had to touch up during the day. But she was impressed anyway, since it lasted longer than her other foundations. So based on these testimonies, I could recommend it!
Here is the shade Nude on the skin in focus and not, so that you can, hopefully, see the finish.
The price is £50/$55.
Wow… that’s a lovely foundation!
It is, Eesha!
