Inglot Eye Shadows VS MAC Eye Shadows

Several days ago I made a post about Inglot shadows and I know that a lot of people want to know how they are compared with MAC shadows.

I don’t know what’s the point in comparing everything with MAC but here is the photo for those who are curious. My friend Monika wrote that her Inglot shadows fit perfectly in MAC palette and you can see that for yourself here

The MAC eyeshadow quad is from Make-Up Art Cosmetics and is € 41 while the Inglot shadows are € 13 and I picked up the colours myself. I like MAC eyeshadows (although the colours in Notoriety Eyeshadow Quad is nothing special and it was not worth my money) but Inglot eye shadows are not worse.

And what do you think? Do you compare everything with MAC? Did you try Inglot shadows? Would you compare them with MAC? If you never tried Inglot shadows – don’t worry, I will have a giveaway soon 😉

  1. Thanks for the mention, sweetheart! I think Inglot Pearl formula cmopares to MAC Veluxe Pearl quite well, but I don’t like the glittery ones (I think they call them Shine or something) that much, but still good color pay-off, while some of my matte Inglot shadows, especially a light cream I have, are very poorly pigmented and not a great texture. I feel however this is true for matte shadows in many brands, maybe excluding Illamasqua, but those are super pricey.

The only thing is that for many famous MAC shades it’s quite impossible to find exact dupes at Inglot. But for the dupable ones, I prefer cheaper Inglot eyeshadows.

  2. I haven’t had a lot of experience with MAC shadows aside from swatching them in store when I see new collections or something pretty, so I wouldn’t know. I think as long as a shadow is good quality, there’s no need to compare it to another good quality shadow because they’re both good right? lol sorry if that didn’t make much sense. The Inglot shadows you chose are so gorgeous and bright.

  3. I agree with you, I don’t know why everyone has to compare everything to MAC. There are different companies to choose from for a reason.

That being said, I would love to try some Inglot, as I keep hearing about them!

  4. I’m with you both, Mika_chan and makeup morsels. I don’t know why some people feel the need to be continuously comparing other brands to MAC. Perhaps it’s because MAC is one of the cheaper department store/boutique brands that is uber trendy, yet approachable. That makes it attractive to make-up collectors and to women who love to rock the trends.

MAC is a good product at a good price point, but it’s a far cry from the end-all-be-all. Don’t get me wrong–I have a bit of MAC in my stash, it’s just that there is better quality out there. Many brands at many price points equals endless opportunities 🙂

    1. I have to agree with everything that you said! Of course I have different MAC products that I love myself but there are so many other amazing brands out there.

  5. I have to say that I’m quite dissapointed with MAC. i use Inglot but MaC has become quite fashionable recently so I decided to try it out. I don’t think the MAC’s eyeshadows are better but they are much more expensive. In paid about 17 $ for MAC in comparison to 3,5 for Inglot. The price really makes a difference.
