October 2016 Beauty Favourites

Please excuse the lack of updates, if you follow me on Twitter, you may have seen that I’ve had some health issues so I had to take a break from pretty much everything, including  Makeup4all.

Now that the picture is a bit more clear, and I feel a bit better, I can share the products I have been loving in October, and I I truly am a big fan of everything mentioned.

If I had to choose only one product – that would definitely be Rouge Bunny Rouge Serene Light Skin Perfector, this is probably my favourite product the brand has ever released! It makes your complexion look incredible – the skin just glows. You look radiant and well-rested even if that could not be further from the truth. Since it is a tinted product, I use it without any products on top  but you can use the foundation of your choice, I believe it would work great with this one.

Daniel Sandler Rose Glow and Golden Glow Watercolour Blushes  (review and swatches).  I have re-discovered my love for these beauties! The latest two shades Daniel released have to be my favourites, and I have at least 10 shades. Watercolours look natural on the skin but they add just the perfect amount of colour to make you look youthful. Every beauty lover should try them. By the way, I would recommend this podcast with Daniel, it made me love him even more.

Besides the already mentioned base products, I’ve kept the rest of my makeup really minimal: I always curl my lashes with shu uemura eye lash curlers (feature), apply tonnes of Clarins Mascara Supra Volume and one of these liners ArtDeco and Revlon on the eyes. I promise the detailed review of the Clarins mascara but so far I can say that it is the best one from the brand yet.

For my eye brows I have been reaching for  Rouge Bunny Rouge Long-lasting Brow Liner ALCHEMY in Antimony (review and swatches) pretty much every day. I like how precise it is which allows you to get the exact shape you want. I follow with a spoolie for a more natural result.

Surprisingly, I did not wear red/dark lipsticks that much in October, it was all about the natural look, and most of the days I’ve just used this brilliant lip balm – Elemental Herbology Nutritive Lip Complex  (review).

I also have to mention Illamasqua Nail Varnish in Scorn (review and swatches). I have been wearing this leather-like nail varnish almost all month. It is pretty long lasting, so I had to re-do my manicure only several times.

Revlon Professional Hydra Capture Shine Up Shampoo (Review),  whenever I use a different shampoo, and then use this one again, I just realise how brilliant it is. It leaves my hair glossy and shiny, as if I’ve used a lot of styling/finishing products while in reality it is only this shampoo. It smells amazing, too.

Black XS by Paco Rabanne (feature) is such a signature scent for me. I’ve got it when it just came out in 2007, and I still adore it. I would say that this is “my scent” and always will be.  “This modern floral-fruity composition starts sharp and spicy with cranberry, pink peppercorn and tamarind notes around the heart of hellebore noir rose, black violet and cocoa blossom. The base notes are patchouli, Massoia wood and vanilla.

Two skincare products that I want to mention are:  First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads which gently exfoliate the skin without any uncomfortable feelings, and leave it smoother and ready for your serums/oils/creams  and  Elemental Herbology Vital Glow Overnight Resurfacing Cream which is the best night cream I have tried. It gives you visible results, feels comfortable on the skin and is really worth the investment.  I will definitely write in more details about both products soon. And about many more…

It is probably weird to include a toothpaste in my monthly favourites but I really enjoyed using my  Colgate Max White White and Protect toothpaste. I have been actually using only Colgate for the last year or even more, and it works just fine for me. I used to get all those fancy toothpastes but good ol’ Colgate works just as well, and I can definitely see that all those whitening claims work, at least for me.
