I don’t have that many favourites this month but I really love each and every one a lot.
Givechy Phenomen’ Eyes Mascara in Deep Black (from Neiman Marcus, Barneys, Harrods, Sephora, Escentual and Nordstrom)
I am huge fan of Givenchy Noir Couture Mascara, and I really like this one, too. This ball-shaped mascara has been around for a while but I have tried it only this year and only because I’ve bought it by accident (did not return it because the lady at Givenchy told me it is her favourite). And I am happy I’ve kept it, as it is great. It takes time to get used to this shape but once you do – you can get incredible results: think, long and black lashes. I also like the fact that this mascara stays on without smudging all day. The only thing I’d say is that this is not a I-am-in-a-rush product, it does take some time to build up the effect but it is worth it, in my opinion.
Rouge Bunny Rouge Pristine Light Light Corrective Eye Primer. Use the code RBR-MAKEUP4ALL20 for a 20% off and get it here.
This is the newest product from the brand, and it is absolutely brilliant, a real game changer. It gives you that powdery but light finish and really enhances the colour of the eye shadows, makes the application smoother, and makes the product last longer. I do not have oily eye lids so on me the shadows last all day long, until I take them off. Just make sure you squeeze out the tiniest amount of product, otherwise, it will just stay on the sponge, and why waste such a great product.
Clarins Day Screen Multi-Protection SPF 50 (Nordstorm, Sephora, Bergdorf Goodman, Selfridges,Harrods.)
“UV rays, pollution, free radicals… What’s protecting your skin in the city? Discover Anti-pollution SPF50 protective day screen”, and this basically sums up this brilliant product. It is not heavy, sticky or tacky, no white residue either, and works great under makeup. A must have for an every skincare routine.
Rouge Bunny Rouge Glassy Gloss Sweet Excess in Raspberry Meringue (review and swatches)
“Pale pink with very soft mother of pearl micro-shimmer – this shade doesn’t yield a strong colour, but it makes lips naturally pretty”, this is the gloss that lives in my makeup bag, and I have already featured it in my monthly favourites, as everything about it is great: the formula, sweet scent and the beautiful cool toned baby pink with micro shimmer. As it is now colder it also protects the lips by keeping them moisturized, have been wearing it non-stop, and I have already used half of the tube. Considering how many glosses I have, this says a lot.
I have also been experimenting with the eye shadows quite a lot this month, and the ones shown on the photo are Makeup Geek in Mai Tai, Cupcake and Showtime.
I remember the days when I used to write for a Makeup Geek website so it makes me very happy to see how incredibly good Marlena’s products are, and how successful she is!
Also in October, I’ve picked up quite a few new style related items, and my favourite one is probably the red beret which was inspired by Eva Green’s character in the Dreamers. Now, for some reason, I really want a black velvet top or a dress, and this is something I never thought I’d say.
