I am not sure what took me so long to share about my favourite face SPF EVER.
Meet Darphin Intral Environmental Lightweight Shield SPF 50.
I am a big fan of the formula, it does not leave any white residue, and gives that beautiful glow. It is very slightly tinted so will work great for light skin tones. For medium skin tones Sarah Chapman would be great.
I loved that it was also absolutely
I have already posted a few “nails of the day” recently, and here is a brand new one, featuring one of my favourite nail polish formula – Essie Gel Couture (now on offer at Boots for £6.66 only).
In fact, it’s a firm favourite of a lot of people, and rightly so. It’s a gel-at-home-kinda formula. It gives you a long lasting effect, without the pain of taking it off the gel polish style. Obviously, it won’t last for weeks like the “real” gel nail polish but way longer than most regular varnishes.
I have two shades: Rock the Runway which is a beautiful classic red and Spiked With Style a vampy beauty. To be honest,
Surprisingly, during the lockdown I’ve actually finally did some things I’ve wanted to do for ages but never even started. One of them was the fact that I’ve finally finished Perfumes: The Guide 2018 by Turin and Sanchez.
I have been meaning to learn more about perfumery for a long time, and this book was a great help.
You may say that perfumes are very subjective, and you are correct. But there are still some basic facts and knowledge which can be very helpful.
So in the last several years, I have been attending masterclasses held by the perfumers, reading about the history of the scent and, most importantly, going to the perfume counters, smelling the actual thing. And it’s been an incredible journey so far.
While I am not
It is always great when a brand you have been a customer of for a long time contacts you to offer some of their products for a review. This is what happened recently with Holistic Silk. I have been using and recommending their sleeping masks for many years, so it was nice to be able to try more products from them.
I was given an opportunity to select the items myself so I went for a silk pillow case and massage slippers, as those seemed to be the perfect items for spending so much time at home.
Pure Mulberry Silk Anti Ageing Pillowcase (£80).
I’ve been hearing so many great things about silk pillow cases but somehow never picked one up because I already use either satin or high quality cotton ones. But this silk pillow case is truly something else. This mulberry silk is the softest and glossiest thing ever. It is such a pleasure when your skin touches it. The pillowcase reduces the friction and also stays cool. The words can’t describe how much I love it. It also helps to combat the hair frizz. Now I wish I got one myself earlier. And now I can totally see why people are so obsessed, I don’t want to sleep on anything else ever again. This is as luxurious, as it gets.
The one I have is Navy, and it is 75cm x 50cm. But you can also get Jade, Cream, Rose or
While I usually love the sea salt hair sprays, this time I’ve decided to try a volumising mist without the I’ve-just-been-surfing-or-swimming-in-the-sea kind of effect.
Not gonna lie, I was probably mostly drawn to the stylish glass bottle and a cool modern design. I also like the sleek pump and the pistachio green label, with simple gold and black writing. I am describing the look of the product in such a detail as I firmly believe that, when it comes to high-end beauty, everything about it should bring joy. And this is clearly the case.
As for the product itself, I
