Clarins lip balms/glosses are among my favourites and I rate them highly!
I have actually already written about all of the ranges the brand has, except the Prodige Gloss.
You can read about Instant Smooth Crystal Lip Balms, Colour Quench Lip Balms and my favourite Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector.
So now it’s time for Gloss Prodige (£15.50) and it’s the shade from the Spring 2013 collection which is called Water Lily.
As all other Clarins glosses, this one is very “balmy”, it feels very hydrating (the formula contains hyaluronic acid) and moisturizing on the lips, without being too heavy or sticky. I find that such formula/texture is perfect for cold weather, as it helps to keep my lips in a good condition.
Prodige Gloss comes in a beautiful package, very high-end, and has a sponge applicator that bends. This gloss has a strong fruity scent, which I personally like, but some may not. It is written that it’s blackberry and liquorice.
Colour wise I find Water Lily to be a perfect shade, it a shimmery baby pink and you just can’t get wrong with it.
But if you prefer brighter colours, there is also a 10 Vibrant Rose shade in the collection.
It is definitely staying in my makeup bag, a total winner in my opinion. Plus it is much more affordable than most luxury glosses.
Best online shop to get Clarins from in Escentuals.
