SS16 Trend: Colour Correcting

Contouring? Strobing? Move over! There is a new trend in town, and that is colour correcting. It was around for some time but you know that it is official when it ends up on Sephora’s main page. I actually posted about some products already, such as BECCAYSL and tarte but there are tonnes of others.

When you click on the link, you can read all about it, and choose the product which you think you may need/want.  I am personally not sure it is that necessary, unless you are a make-up artist. Somehow in the past foundation-concealer-powder were enough but now women have to have all those products.  And that is  great marketing, and good for the brands and for the beauty industry. But you are the one to decide whether you really should have all of that.

As I’ve already said, I wouldn’t mind some of those colour correcting products for my kit when I am doing someone’s makeup but I don’t want/need any for my personal makeup bag. I have tried the MUFE  green concealer  in the past, and although it was nice , I won’t be re-purchasing.
