Red(ish) Blushers: Hourglass, Clarins, Benefit, Max Factor and MeMeMe
Since my post about pink blushers got so many views, I’ve decided to write one about reddish ones, too. Do let me know, if you’d like me to choose 5 corals/peaches and berries/plums…
So here is what I’ve picked:
Hourglass Aura Cheek Tint in Flush (review and swatches)
I think that Flush is a perfect name for this sheer water-based blusher, it gives the most natural and beautiful effect. Cheek Tint is easy to blend, plus it has a nice staying power.
Max Factor Miracle Touch Creamy Blush in 18 Soft Cardinal (review and swatches)
This is probably my personal favourite! It is a gorgeous cream blusher with “wet & glossy” texture, it doesn’t enhance any dry patches and looks like a second skin, I use it
March 2014: My Current Top 5 Affordable Makeup Products
I love my luxury beauty products! I perfectly understand, that is not a necessity but an indulgent, and also I get that not everyone wants to spend that much on a makeup product. In fact, I often get asked about the affordable products that I would recommend.
So I’ve decided to feature five products that I’ve been really loving lately. I could, of course, add more, but these are the best for me, now.
Max Factor Excess Volume Extreme Impact Mascara (review)
I use this mascara daily now! It is ultra black and glossy and gives great volumizing effect, exactly what I love. For me it’s “go big, or go home” when it comes to mascara.
NYX Taupe Blush (review and swatches)
Another product that I use almost daily. It blends nicely into the skin and gives a natural sculpting effect, nothing muddy or orange.

Clarins Multi-Blush Cream Blush Review and Swatches
Since today we are talking about the new blushes for Spring 2014, it’s a perfect time to review the brand new Clarins Multi-Blush Cream Blushes.
These are available in four shades and I have two to show you – 02 Candy and 03 Grenadine (The other two shades are 01 Peach and 04 Rosewood).
They come in a signature Clarins packaging and look sleek and chic. Here is a close up of the shades.
The formula of these blushes, as promised, is light and applies smoothly. As for the texture, it is not very creamy, definitely not oily or greasy, but I wouldn’t call it cream-to-powder, I’d say they have a velvety finish, so girls with normal and oily skin should like them ( the blushes), too.
Multi-Blush are pretty fool-proof, as you get a very subtle hint of colour, so it’s hard to apply too much. Even if you
Bye-Bye, BECCA’s Crème Blush and Lip and Cheek Crème
It turns out that BECCA plan to discontinue their Crème Blush and Lip and Cheek Crème and bring out something new.
I really hope that it will be a great product, since Amaryllis is my favourite cream blush ever.
Not sure why would they change such a wonderful product. Just hope that the new blush won’t be cream-to-powder, I’d be very upset…
I am trying to find out the details, but in the meanwhile here is the list of shades of Beach Tints that brand suggests to use instead of your favourite blushers:
Creme Blush
- Turkish Rose — Fig BT
- Amaryllis — Watermelon BT (shown above)
- Terracotta — Guava
My Current Blush Wish List. September 2013
I love blush! This may be the most exciting makeup product for me, my beauty life was forever changed when I discovered it and I never looked back.
It seems like I always have blushers on my wish list, so here are top four that I plan to get at some point in the near future. I could also add Illamasqua’s Velvet Blusher in Peaked and theBalm’s Long-Wearing Powder Staining Blush, too.
So, let’s take a look at my wish list, shall we?
Boujois Cream Blush in 3 Rose Tender
I can’t believe that I still haven’t got a Bourjois blusher. I think I’d go for the shade No3 (other shades). That’s a great thing that high street brands are now releasing cream blushers, too. I hope these are as good, as my favourites from Max Factor.
