Here is a preview of the new Givenchy’s Christmas 2013 makeup collection, a small but well edited festive release.
The star of the collection, quite literally, is Ondulations D’Or Limited Edition Bronze Précieux (£38.50) which is a black and gold eye shadow palette. You use each shade individually, or mix together to get a bronze shade. The packaging is a work of art, if you ask me. Black and gold is a classic, and a beautiful combo.
It’s all about the bronze for the eyes, when it comes to this collection. So the next step is Phenomen’Eyes Bronze Précieux (£22). But wait, there is even more! Lash Sparkles Limited Edition Or Précieux (£19) which is a golden top coat for lashes. Which, according to Nicolas Degennes, Givenchy Beauty’s Artistic Director, is a must-have from for Christmas.
As for the rest of the collection, there are
Here is a preview of Givenchy’s Autumn/Winter 2013 makeup collection – Soir D’Exception.
And here is what Nicolas Degennes, Artistic Director, says about the release:
“As in the poet’s song, a spark and a loving word are all you need to light the fire. And all doubts disappear since I know that the sparkle of a candle’s flame, so special, comes from millions of nano diamonds produced by its combustion. And moreover, isn’t lux the unit of measurement for light? When night falls, let’s go for the exception! …Because it is beautiful.”

I see new releases literally every day, so I don’t get excited that often. But when I saw the photos of Givenchy’s Le Rouge lipstick I thought that is was a mind-blowing collection! I also knew that I had to get it!
I have bought it only last week, although it was released back in February, because the lovely Givenchy PR actually sent me some lipsticks and polishes to show you and I did not want to get the same shades, so had to wait. But the samples got lost, thanks to the glorious post workers, along with some of my other post…
I bought the lipstick for my Birthday anyway, as I wanted at least one shade for my personal use.
The thing is that there are different shades available in different countries and I had my fingers crossed that I would be able to buy 302 Hibiscus Exclusif which was the shade that attracted me. Luckily, I was able to find it.
So what is so special about Le Rouge?
First of all, this is the best lipstick design that was ever created, I don’t think I could love it more. It is leather with silver metal with engraved Givenchy logo on top and “Givenchy” written both on the bullet and the cap. There are also two studs that look really cool. The package feels heavy and luxurious!
The lipstick formula is
Today is my Birthday and I had a day off, as I worked on Saturday instead. I don’t really care about Birthdays but this year, for some reason, decided to do at least something…
Plus a lot of readers ask for more personal posts from time to time so, I guess, I can share a bit 🙂 I also did a post last year.
A lot of friends were asking what I wanted. To tell the truth, the only thing that I really want right now is a new Givenchy bag but it’s not the best time to get it, as I am completely re-doing my bathroom (and kitchen soon), so it’ll have to wait. I also don’t like when people get me beauty products, as I have a lot already and prefer to buy such things myself, as I know precisely what I want/need. Moreover, I like it to be a surprise.
Speaking about beauty wish list… I did
I am very happy to share the newest Givenchy launches Le Rouge Givenchy and Les Vernis lines.
Although these products will be out only in February, I like them so much that wanted to share now. Mariacarla Boscono on the promos, black and red shades, leather and metal case – it’s like it was made for me.
I am just hoping that the design is as amazing in real life as it looks on the promos.
There will be twelve Le Rouge Givenchy lipsticks (£24/ €33)
These will come in leather and metal packaging. The lipsticks will have a velvet finish, light and creamy formula and intense pigmentation.
And guess what? Le Rouge will have a scent which was created by François Demachy and Nicolas Degennes – delicate and subtly powdery mimosa and blackcurrant notes.
All shades are divided into three groups: Les Naturels, Les Roses and Les Créations.
